COMICS! |OT| November 2016. Wilde for comics, 2 Hickman books this month.

If they're going all-in on MCU, then the roster is going to be vanilla as fuck. They'd better at least put in my best love/hate character, Captain Marvel.

Wow not even BP? I really hope they don't try to make the characters look like the movie actors/designs

Sorry, you are getting an updated Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game engine.

Eh, you're right, I apologize for my rudeness. Harrow County and Sixth Gun aren't for me but they are on an entirely different level from his Marvel work. Which I truly do not think has ever been great beyond a stand-out issue here or there.

No disagreement here and even Harrow county fell in my opinion from the first to the third volume. Felt very positive after one, still fairly after two, not sure I'll continue after three. Sixth gun is still his best work I think.

Sent an add to the comicsgaf Ps4 community btw whoever runs that

I've lurked a lot over at CBR over the years, but nothing has come close to this thread. You guys have me wanting to read everything under the sun.

If anyone is interested in trying the black bolt writer he has a little sampler thing for free on Amazon for kindles, it's a short story set in the world of his novel he got all the acclaim for. I downloaded but didn't get to it yet.

You know I actually liked all of the Spider-Man CWII issues. Lots of nice, unexpected character moments and interactions. Ultra low key but that can be good sometimes

Go for Usagi Yojimbo! It's in the giant Dark Horse sale on Comixology right now, or alternatively the Fantagraphics box set + Saga collections for an affordable physical set.

Also, Transformers More Than Meets the Eye for a book that is frequently overlooked due to the license, but is so goddamn good I'd still recommend it even if you actively dislike Transformers.

(I totally know that feeling though. I've spent waaaaaaaaay too much on Comixology sales this year. Like, I just grabbed all of Waid and Johns Flash, plus all of Johns Teen Titans, and had to cut myself off before I topped it off with all of Johns JSA, amongst other pickups.)

Yes lawd

OR, and hear me out on this: someone who's not already done an X-Men book before.

Here's some names I thought of:
-Steve Orlando
-David Walker
-G Willow Wilson
-Kate Leth
Any of them but Leth. Leth would need something like Worst X-Men or anything lighthearted.

I'd love something else like Worst X-Man.

Maybe that's just how my tastes have changed. Maybe I've had my fill of traditional superhero antics, and now I want to see them explore new things in the genre.

Less Civil War II, more girly hi-jinks.

Cool a Valiant line wide sale.

Need thoughts on some of the newer series they've come out with
- 4001A.D
-Divinity 1 &2
- A&A : The Adventures of Archer and Armstrong
- Dead Drop
- Generation 0
- Britannia
