The Mighty Thor #13
Pretty cool issue. Some decent action, but mostly a lot of talking. The real fight doesn't happen until the end and that gets cut short to be saved for the next issue.
Also made me wish I'd read Aaron's God of Thunder run before this, since I feel like I'd get more out of. Still felt fine without that run in my back pocket (but comic continuity oh nooooooo!).the League of the Realms
Book's still bangin'

Finished the first arc of Morrison's Doom Patrol. I liked where it started and what it was building but it seems to rush to the finish in one issue sort of out of nowhere. I'm hoping Crazy Jane gets some kind of rules established to her otherwise she's just going to seem like a really cheep get out of plot card with every story. It just seemed weird how the last issue had the Chief confronting someone to figure out how to destroy the fictional town and at the same time Jane is able to suddenly figure it out while inside the town.
The first issue of the next story was absolutely amazing though and instantly had me craving to read more. Cliff running around telling people that everything they do is ok because they're super heroes and Larry giving his female body's fiancé a hug and asking him not to get blood on the coat and then him just showing up and walking right into danger when Cliff and Jane find the Butterfly Collectors 'world'.
That single issue had me more excited and jumping in than the previous issues. Absolutely loved it.
Magneto is the oldest enemy of these X-Men. This was the first evil mutant that they battled way back in X-Men #1. And now here he is taking on this mentor role with them, Bunn told IGN. That immediately raises a lot of questions. Why would these X-Men be working with him? What is he trying to accomplish now? Do they feel that hes changed his ways? And that really is what I was excited about. It opened up a lot of really interesting questions for us. Theres some mystery involved in terms of why the X-Men are working with him and what theyre trying to accomplish. Theres a little bit of intrigue there because knowing Magneto, you know hes got ulterior motives. Hes Magneto. The original five X-Men arent stupid. They know this. And maybe they have some ulterior motives of their own.
As for Jeans new position as team leader, Bunn explained to IGN, Jean is really the catalyst for bringing them all together I kind of feel like readers of X-Men have always felt that Jean was supposed to be the leader of the team. And now Jean is definitely taking the leadership role in this group.
Li'l Gotham is part of the DC Digital First CMX sale!
If I remember correctly, Morrison's Doom Patrol starts out slow (comparatively) and gets better and better with every arc! I'm kind of envious you get to experience it for the first time.
I have only now looked at the actual text in the X-Men Gold and Blue creative team announcement, and oh man.
Jack Kirby's Kamandi Omnibus
has been confirmed. pretty damn cool

You'll really enjoy The Painting That Ate Paris I think. It should be the next arc and it's super good.
One of my favorite things about the run is the oneshots mixed inbetween the longer arcs. Lots of fun issues!
I didn't really think it was moving slow the first arc, it more felt like Morrison just changed his mind on what he wanted to do and he just decided to end the first arc as soon as possible to move on. It was probably for the better, I'm just glad I had read the next issue right away.
Ghost Box and Exogenetic are pretty fun. I have to say they can be a little too funny and jokey where I felt it should have been heavier. Regardless they are pretty dope. Have yet to read Xenogenesis, but I'll get there. Way's run killed my momentum a little bitWhy on earth did I sleep on Warren Ellis' Astonishing X-Men run for this long I loved it. Wish Armour was featured a tad more (loved her mini story in Ghostboxes 2) though since she felt like a Jubilee stand-in but other than that the over the top action and beautiful art slayed me.
So she wasn't offered a job by one whole publisher because its run by someone she didn't get along with in the past. Who cares? How is that a story at all?

I am gonna link you all leaks so far:Nice, any other notable books on the way?
Because people asked her why AfterShock hadn't tried to get her on a book like they did Ellis, Bennett etc?So she wasn't offered a job by one whole publisher because its run by someone she didn't get along with in the past. Who cares? How is that a story at all?

Nothing that much standing out for me tbh, but a couple of nice Deluxes already
Maybe Gail Simone will talk about her image book Crosswind before teasing more books. It's only like 2 years late at this point.
They shorted you a dimension.Just bought a 2ds & Pokemon Sun bundle. Need my Pokemon fix.
Sure it's not dead? Sure it's not all cozy with Marvel's teen Blade?

We don't know because she doesn't talk about it. She just teases who is offering her work and how she is working on her dream character. Over and over and over.
I've bought 3 3DS' and sold each one. At least this time the 2ds will be worth fuck all if I want to sell it

If Clean Room is cancelled you have to imagine something is going on with Vertigo. Clean Room and Babylon are the only books from Vertigo that I can think of and neither are really selling great are they?
