Decided I didn't want to wait for the price drops and bought/read the last two issues of Year Zero. Great arc and the best so far in the Snyder new 52 run. That ending was really powerful.

Oh and I hope the OT will eventually tire of the new thread for every bad headline against police in America trend or just consolidate it all so more threads are on the first page

That ending was
super fucking sad
.

Oh, I misread your post--nah, no Spider-Gwen yet.

Also, what are ya writing?

Two vastly different stories. One I have completely mapped out beginning to end, the other is a Sci if story where I'm still mapping out how the world works. Super excited because I'm on to something. No artist though.

Ah, awesome. If you ever want another eye for a draft or anything, I'll happily take a look. Always interested in reading others' written stuffs on here.

Also, anybody hesitant about picking up the gimmick month Futures End issues, pick up Grayson right-quick. Stellar comic with a really smart story structure, and it's completely self-contained. The only downside is Janin didn't do the art for it.

I'll second that. I wasn't expecting anything that clever from an event tie-in issue in a gimmick month. Legitimately good stuff!

Did you guys see the preview page from the new Thor book with lady Thor? I thought it was nicely done. Also, smart, with the addition of a single letter to the inscription on Thor's hammer.

A question for you, though: how do you keep up with this thread? Seriously. I popped in yesterday to say "'sup?" and now I have another 9 pages to read through :P

This is undeniably one of the best statues Sideshow has done.

I just checked and What the fuck DC!?

THIS IS WHY YOU ARE ON THE VERGE OF BEING DEAD TO ME!

Fuck I wont get into another DC rant. To hell with that crap company.

Did you notice that the girls have the exact same face? It's pretty odd.

Twins!

I am going to give Marvel every opportunity to prove to me that this and Captain America are not pandering, especially Thor since it has been a favorite of mine since the early days.
Great art so far.

The problem is that Marvel just likes to change things up now and then, but after a few months, everything goes back to the status quo. Even if they do that again, they need to make sure these Thor and Cap runs are good, and memorable.

Yes, they are finally here!

Where the fucking fuck did you find a Vol.1 of Absolute Planetary?

Thanks!

For the avatar props, I don't think I could ignore DC ;)

Oh, that's good to know :D I don't really visit CBR, only liked them on Facebook and some stories sift through to my wall. This thread is my main (only) source of comic news. Except for the occasional time when comics news reaches the mainstream and Polygon posts the page with Thor's hammer.
I HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS FOR YOU SIR.
People spend their entire lives waiting for the opportunity to write such a perfect post :D Cherish it.

Agreed.
Hell Cap has been swapped, replaced, killed and it really has not meant anything in the scheme of things.
And the Thor not worthy has been done so they really have to prove that this is different and since they kept old Thor alive I don't think that they have the nerve to back it.

I hope you don't mind me posting this here, but it didn't seem like it needed a new thread.

I've read a lot of Marvel via Unlimited and liked it a lot because I could go back and research storylines if I wanted to fill in backstory. I'd like to read some DC, but the lack of a similar offering makes me a bit hesitant to jump in. I've heard about the New 52, which makes it sound a lot easier at this point, but then I read this:

the new continuity does not constitute a full reboot of the DC Universe but rather a "soft reboot". While many characters underwent a reboot or revamp, much of the DC Universe's history remained intact. Many major storylines such as "War of the Green Lanterns", "Batman: A Death in the Family" and Batman: The Killing Joke remain a part of the new continuity, while others have been lost in part or in whole.

What this implies is that they did a reboot, but at the same time they didn't. So some stories from Batman's past actually did happen, while others didn't. How do you know what is and isn't canon then? Can they just decide to bring in something from the past at any time?

Wow, that Lobo redesign...what the?

I really hope if nothing everything in this next crisis or whatever Johns is building to, the Anti-Monitor zaps characters and they go back to their older costumes.

Regarding the idea of Ilivia Wilde playing Catwoman: I don't know if she looks like Catwoman to me (she's definitely too skinny), but she'd definitely nail the sexiness part. I never thought much of her looks, but that scene she did in her (which is a beautiful movie I love for completely different reasons) was so hot I felt like I was discovering my body again.

Aaand I don't know if I should've shared that :|

Tim! Tim! They're here

The used vol 4 has a bit more wear and tear then i'd like but I wanted to keep everything in HC form. Still the overall quality of the stuff that counts is in good shape

Time to clear my weekend schedule and move these to the top. My first foray into pure kirby stuff and forth world (beyond it showing up in other books i've read over the years)

Oh and the dogs are back from the groomers! Here are my dogs Vader and Obi Wan (Vader is the larger one)

Finally went back to my dcbs pile: Moon Knight #3, 4, and 5, some good one and done stories much like Ellis' limited time on Secret Avengers. Fantastic art too.
