Flintlock from Edge magazine:

“Building an effective anti-colonial open world”… among other gems in this write-up that referenced Sweet Baby Inc being hired, and you can look forward to a “whole bunch of high-end cinematic work!”

What's left in gaming after you compare actions in video games to very real and unrelated incidents just to strip them out? Sure, you can murder people in our game but taking land is a step too far.

- Kunitsu-Gami was very good oldschool fun when I played the demo. Pondering if I actually buy this to support games of this type or if I´m being a cheapskate and just get a month of GP for it.
- Don`t know the Hinterberg thing.
- Won`t touch the SBI-Product Flintlock with a 10 feet pole.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
So likely wanting these smaller games to have their moment before dropping MW3 news

Yeah, note that all 5 games in the article are day 1 drops, and obviously none of them come even a fraction close to MW3.
MW3 will probably get its own dedicated blog post, news wire, youtube video etc. If i were to guess, that'll be by the end of this week.

Didnt know this thread was 1st. I'm looking forward to literally every game. Flock is Annapurna. Dungeons of Hinterberg has been one of my most anticipated titles since its reveal, along with Kunitsu Gami. Flintlock could be good. Perfect AA GP game. Magical Delicacy is a mystery but I like the art style and it says its a platformer.

Havent even started Golden Idol, Tchia, or come close to finishing Neon White. Insane lineup.

Nice! Capcom game I’ll try now.

Flint lock seems like a pass even on game pass.

Some people don't like games where Sweet Baby is involved, I dunno it's that probably.
Idk that there’s legit negativity to the game. You see SBI and you just stop giving it attention lol.

If it gets a ton of praise then it’ll be on radars. If it’s middle or bad it’ll just be another case for “if SBI is involved it’s likely a shittier game than it could’ve been.”

Just noticed the comment about more Game Pass news coming "soon". I'm guessing the big Activision Game Pass announcement is imminent.

Been watching playthroughs of Flint lock and it looks pretty fun. It would be stupid for me to ignore cause of some ink baby. I hate woke just as much as anyone else, but as long as the game doesn't lecture me, I should be ok. Most stuff story wise goes over my head anyways. The main protagonist has one job. Not look into the camera and say black lives matter and defund the police.

Every game has a political views.

This is just childish actions from grown ups.

No, you're confusing the issue. Political themes or narratives in games are not inherently problematic, and very few if any in this forum said otherwise. The concern comes from what's perceived as a patronizing attempt at indoctrination from developers or other stakeholders, which is why there's discontent with SBI and DEI. And having principles around this is far from "childish".

Played Magical Delicacy for a few minutes last night. It's definitely not primarily a platformer. It's mostly a social town / crafting game with some light platforming from the looks of it. The sprites look nice honestly, but I'm just not in the mood for that right now. Will try it later after I finish that Rolling Sushi game.

Flock, tried this out for a couple hours. It's nothing amazing, but sort of relaxing to fly around. Best I can compare it to is Bugsnax with wings. You fly around and catalog creatures in the wild for an encyclopedia. There's a bit too many tutorials, but other than that it's not bad. Mid-tier game but enjoyable as a palette cleanser.

Modern Warfare 3 and Dave the Diver reportedly will be announced for GP next week

New season for COD drops the 24th so would be a great time to drop in some new players

Side note got an email this morning from Blizzard giving out a free month of PC GamePass but no mention of COD

Looks like wasting time hiring DEI dumbtarts, chagning the protagonist from a white male to a black woman and changing the story didnt help them score points with critics huh? Maybe they should've focused on making a better game instead of that. Fucking dumbasses.

SWTD took me 4.8 hours to finish. I took my time with it, but I didn't drag my feet either. The narrative pulls you along pretty well.
4~ hours max, unless you're really taking your time exploring every nook and cranny.
Thanks! Thats doable before Flintlock drops, without getting stressed over it.

edit Or wait, I just checked and Flintlock is tomorrow? I thought its Friday release.
