Concord - Reviews Thread (PS5/PC)

Thought this game was going to be a first party 70's/80's space explorer. Aesthetics mixed with the OG Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy. A merry band of resistance fighters, beautiful planets.

Instead it's a poorly done Overwatch clone.

I had similar expectations about what Destiny was going to be originally, but more gritty Star Wars space explorer.

So after PC Gamers article gaslighting consumers
"My guess at the real reason for all this grave dancing is that it feels like a victory over FOMO."
"where multi-billion-dollar institutions like Sony now often struggle to be heard"

PC Gamer finally reviewed the game and gave it a 45 lol
"Concord's third-rate heroes aren't up to the competition."
"Concord feels out of touch and already out of time."

Metacritic is now down from 69 in OP to 63 - https://www.metacritic.com/game/concord/
and Opencritic up from 63 to 65 - https://opencritic.com/game/17198/concord

Agreed 100%.

At least he's level-headed.
The core gameplay is solid and gunplay is great, so the foundation is solid.

It's the rest where they fucked up, especially character designs, which is key to attracting players.

At least he acknowledges that the future is uncertain.
The gunplay is great and the gameplay is fun: granted I hate Soulslikes, Hell Divers 2 and COD so your mileage may vary on my gameplay opinions but this is the most fun I’ve had with a multiplayer FPS since Overwatch. I’ll admit the character designs suck but they could literally solve that problem by releasing better skins. I care about the FPS design and weapon design I.e what you actually see in gameplay and that’s all good.

Destiny 1 was pretty unique to me when I launched. There was also something about Peter Dinklage as the Ghost that I loved. Similar to ETH.3N in CoD: Infinite Warfare and TARS in Interstellar, the joking and sarcastic monotone voiceover juts makes me laugh. Plus Destiny 1 was just awesome exploring the moon and other planets, I fell off after they brought Nolan North in, I'm fan of his for playing Nathan Drake but I did not like him at all in that role.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The game isn't bad... it's YOUR fault for being chuds and not accepting it!

lol! luckily I gave it back to Amazon! I'd picked up the limited physical edition because it was cheap, but I hadn't read up on the game and it looked like it was a 3D scrolling fighting game. XD
Didn't even get it, sent it back!!! Serves you right, developers!!!
