I used to be a huge weezy fan around carter 2, dedication 2, and drought 3. Some of my favorite music ever. Can't believe how far he fell off, but this still sucks. Sizzurp is just awful, awful stuff

Is this the general consensus? Not that it is awful, because it is, but the inference that he got addicted to the opiates again and maybe was trying to kick it and suffered seizures? Usually withdrawal from opiates will make you feel like you want to die but it's not life threatening.

two different statements. no correlation.

oh ok, i understand now based on your edit. i've read plenty of places and a lot in this thread that taking sizzurp gives a high chance of seizures.

I really don't know how you overdose on codeine. I get that full strength prometh and even like 2 oz's get's you mad sleepy. Like 2 oz's of that and a couple beers makes you feel like you've been rufied.

Nope. Lil Wayne was in the hospital, and he was doing awful. Six days in the ICU is nothing to scoff at. Young Money lost some credibility, but it wasn't like they were bursting at the seams with it.

Happy he is out of ICU.

Dumb decision on his part to overdose, but everyone makes mistakes.

He was one of my favorites in the early 2000s.

Being late to this story what about sizzurp causes such bad seizures as to put him in the hospital? Maybe I'm just not up on my opiods.

Enjoyed hearing the office ladies asking if everyone heard "little wayne" was in the hospital. For some reason everytime someone said "little wayne" I erupted in uncontrollable laughter.

That blew my mind. He really has released a ton of singles that you or I have probably forgotten, but still charted. Many of the billboard 100 hits that are on the chart right now don't even get radio play like "Cups" by Anna Kendrick so I'm sure some of those Lil Wayne songs reached #83 or something for one week then dropped out of the charts. Even some of those songs from his rock album charted

I like how little they have to say or talk about in the song. There really isn't enough for 3 verses, so they just say the same thing. Basically "Take sprite, codeine syrup, and skittles and put in a cup. Drink it, and you will stagger." Somehow, they got a 4 minute song out of THAT.
