Right, because that's exactly what he said.

Please, stop with the above it all attitude. Already lost all respect for someone who tries to pretend that all, even most, cops are "scum". Disgusting.

Why even bother, FM is the most fucking entitled and correct person in the universe gauging any encounter I've seen him undertake. He's right and your nomg wrong.

He did try to handcuff her. If it became a real struggle he would have likely caused her severe injury.
Naturally, we wouldn't want to cause her any severe injury. That's why we tase her instead!

That's the spirit. Blithely congratulate bad ideas when they don't work out as horribly as they could have.

The taser had its intended effects, you dolt. Just because something can go wrong doesn't give you the go-ahead to be outraged every time it's used.

From the video he had two options. Physical force or taser (maybe other options like pepper spray? I don't know what kind of gear they tote). She put herself in a terrible situation and the cop responded. 50% chance of getting it right with no real knowledge of which will be the right decision until after the fact. (I'd say jolting her would have been just as likely to cause injury as physical force...hence the coin flip).

Like I said, thankless fucking job but this wasn't some "wrong place wrong time" accidental shooting. This woman forced the cop to act and he obliged.

Really?

I would say that's precisely opposite of the rational response. If one course of action is more dangerous than another, the more dangerous course must be avoided.

I find it pretty amazing that anyone would argue that man could not subdue that woman with less risk of bodily harm than sending 50k volts through her.

Yep, that old hag should follow your advice.

Course of action 1: Listen to the cop
Course of action 2: Be a dumb entitled bitch

She struggles, breaks a brittle hip trying to extricate herself from his grasp:

Excuse me? Back the fuck up. Show me where I say a cop "body slammed" someone when they actually just fell.

Show me anywhere in my posting history where I've made that kind of claim. Post it up!

Show me anywhere in your posting history where you haven't made that kind of claim. Post it up!!

I'm saying the cop can't win. If the woman is hurt, no matter what course of action he takes, people will be in an uproar. Hell, you're pissed off and this tactic worked perfectly. No one was injured.

Instead of blaming the cop for doing his job why not blame the woman for putting herself in that situation.

I have no idea if you've ever posted on a message board about a hypothetical police officer body slam, but your reaction to this scenario indicates you'd be pissed no matter what the cop did.

Yeah, so we're beginning to see who on both sides of the argument is incapable of rational discussion and reverts to shitty ad hominems and childish mimicry.

I guess this thread's gone about as far as it's going to go without people getting banned.
