Regardless of how involved he was with writing Creed, all of the setup work in establishing where Rocky is in life was already done by Stallone. The restaurant, Adrian's death, Paulie living with Rocky before he passed, Rocky's attitude and late in life characterization, all of that was established before Creed. I loved that none of that was thrown away or ignored.

Stallone's previous work was seen and felt everywhere in that movie.
