Crowdfunded Gaming (Kickstarter) was supposed to be "big name creators" taking on "big name corporation" not giving fans what they want. Pipedream?

We did get successful games like Bloodstained from Koji Igarashi, who created Castlevania for Konami and Yu Suzuki's Shenmue 3 originally for Sega.

Though there was success, I think the biggest blow to the idea of Crowdfunding becoming a legitimate thing was the case of Mighty number 9 and keji Inafune

The most you can get out of Crowdfunding today is Tabletop games and a few Indie titles
