Does is matter where they do their QA?

I think patching has given publishers some freedom to release a more buggy game, but I wouldn't say it's common, Assassin's Creed is the only game I've had a progression stopping bug on this generation.Gully State said:I find that in this gen, console games are just as susceptible to bugs/crashes and other types of issues that have plagued PC in prior years (This definitely was not the case in previous gens). The only difference is that while console gamers have to wait for the eventual patch to get it fixed, there's usually a workaround/solution on the PC side if you're proactive enough to look for one since being on an open platform allows end users to tweak and modify the end product.
That depends, the biggest problem is that the current QA checklist goes like this:schennmu said:Does is matter where they do their QA?
For you two idiots it sure was the end. Crysis 2 - truly a killer FPS.Jesse Jane said:/endPhilanthropist said:Too bad most PC players are pirates.

So why is it exactly that PC gamers put up with more crap?
Because there is no such thing as first party certification in PC gaming, so people are used to minor and major bugs in releases! Is this a good thing now?
I guess MS and Sony need to grow some balls and stop testing games for their platforms to breed a superior form of console peasants.
I completely agree and this is the best post in this thread by far.Tom Penny said:Analog controller > Mouse K/B for FPS...
The best would be an analog stick for movement and a mouse for aiming... sounds too good to be true!-viper- said:I completely agree and this is the best post in this thread by far.

What he meant is a game like The Witcher that has a very different type of combat and play style or a game like Stalker that is brutally hard and unforgiving at the beginning of the game. Those types of games will never be a success on consoles. Most console gamers would give those games about 5 minutes then give up on them and never come back. The difference between a System Shock 2 and Bioshock are perfect examples of this.

I do. Right now that's the only way I'll get to experience the Crysis franchise. I've heard great things about the first two games, so I'm excited as hell for 2.legend166 said:People care about Crysis on consoles?

I'm going to have to agree with schennmu on this one. Ninja Gaiden sold really well.EmCeeGramr said:Uh... how?

Sure, it didn't sell 20 million copies, but it didn't sell worse than games like The Witcher and STALKER.

Some of my friends that come over use the PS3 browser as a way to plan out which bands we are going to see when there are a bunch of shows at the same time. It's pretty useful as a basic browser.ZombieSupaStar said:people actually use the web browser?
I thought it was aw cute in an "4 year old drew a picture sort of way", then never gave it a 2nd thought :lol
EmCeeGramr said:Uh... how?
You had to actually learn the mechanics of Ninja Gaiden to beat it. There were sections where you would go forty five minutes to an hour without a save, and if you didn't know how to actually fight and were just playing based luck, you would never make it through those parts. It's one of the very few DMC style games that actually had fully featured fighting mechanics that required you to do more than some very basic strategies.Salacious Crumb said:Don't confuse difficulty with complexity.
At that point I would probably default to the Wii as my example, unless by consoles we specifically meant the HD twins.EmCeeGramr said:I was focusing more on "games that are very different control or playstyle wise" than the difficulty.
