Zak is potential hype. He has potential to surpass that level of hype when put into a situation like that. He hasn't been put into a situation of high level American Marvel before which is why this is exciting.

And he brought the hype at FGTV. Ridiculous combos, ridiculous tech, ridiculous comebacks, ridiculous read, ridiculous play...

Zak probably not gonna make it far at evo anyway.

Cheech was the only UK player who entered Evo last year. He made it to top 64 with his on point Haggar and would've made it to 32 if he adjusted a combo against Wolverine when he was fighting against Noel, I'm guessing he got so far because Haggar was unconventional when on point in vanilla. Zak's a much more solid player with a much less conventional and he's been doing pretty well in the FGTV house. I can't see why you'd come to that conclusion, he got bodied at SS (In the losers semis) but that was due to him coming up against Justin.

From the UK. So he's as good as he is with a lower talent pool to level up off of. Which is why all this stuff now is going to be like hyperbolic time chamber levels for him. The funny thing is it doesn't hurt him at all if people play him just cause the way the team works. If he hits you, you are fucked. It all comes down to him landing the hit and not dropping. Playing all these good players is teaching him how to land those hits better and leveling up his defensive game.

Saying he is a favorite is a huge stretch. At least 3-4 players are above him in terms of being favorites for EVO.

Viscant said it the best, on his day he is completely unstoppable like at Shadowloo but when he isn't... he isn't.
