Getting this game on PC. My 1080TI should be more than enough for this without ray tracing. Hopefully it's a game a I can lose myself in for quite some time.

Get IT! It's not your typical Ubisoft style open world waste of time type of game. It's an open world immersive sim with deep RPG mechanics. If you're not sure, wait for the reviews to come out.

I get the feeling I will "Wait it out" and end up buying it release day or soon after. The Immersion is selling it for me so far. I havent seen loads on it, but is it pretty much "Go where you want, do what you want" or is there "Forced" Storyline paths on a regular basis? I just want to wander round and kneecap people as and when I see fit tbh. If it has a bearing on the story, even better.

Based on the Witcher 3 I don't think CDPR is going to pull off a Bethesda-style, go-out-and-mess-around style adventure. I'm sure there will be plenty of stuff to interact with, but the level of unscripted pleasure is probably not going to be on par with GTA/ES/RDR and the like.

If you're not sure that's the best policy. Wait to see what people make of it, you can judge each person here's response to the game, you can figure out who's a moany git, who has tastes that align to yours, etc, and figure out that way if it's for you.

Shame, but understandable.

The real question is, "Do I have the time?".

2 hours a day, most days. Its gonna be a real slow burn. More chance of CDPR releasing a sequel before I've finished the first.

Makes sense, but I'm an impatient, twat.

Should I buy Cyberpunk? I have limited interest in open world games, but this is intriguing me more and more...:pie_thinking:
I support above decision, wait a little. You will have much more feedback (especially on the stability and bugs of day 1 path). And also more details of what the game is to make a better decision. If you are not sure, just wait.

Only 4 days before release?

Most reviews generally only come out a few days before launch. The only time to worry is if its the same day.

Do we have any idea when this will occur?

No, but I would imagine that they'll likely be looking at within the first quarter of 2021. Priority is naturally going to be on post-launch support until Christmas but after that I'd expect them to start looking at optimisations as well as announcements on DLC.

well, witcher 3's review embargo went up a week before release... so..

I suspect that they wanted the reviewers to play with the day 1 patch enabled as they'll be playing with live installed copies versus via remote stream like the 16-hour previewers did. Given the time frame between the original delay and now a week probably wasn't feasible.

Maybe. Witcher 3 embargo was a week before release iirc

Anyone here has this book?

Is it any good?

I'm pretty close to buying this, don't think it's anything official but it looks pretty sweet.

Offical? It's not even related to Cyberpunk 2077

Their work is being used for the steelbook cases for the Best Buy preorders of Cyberpunk. There are 3 variations of the steelbook.

Absolutely none. Last I heard anyway was it exists, or will exist, but no idea when.

Thanks. I'll try and hold off for a bit.

They are saying day 1 patch is 56GB!!

EDIT: No proof. Could be a mistake.

So that means, 126GB in total, not too bad.
My PS5 currently has 303GB left... biggest game is GT Sport at 112GB

My XSX has 143GB left.

I'm glad I went with the PS4 version. Also hoping for a better performance on PS5 over XSX

Thanks. I'll try and hold off for a bit.

If the reviews are strong I wouldn't bother holding out versus jump in and enjoy the zeitgeist. It's the biggest launch in gaming since probably RDR2 and GTAV. The Game has got additional content coming down the pipe so replays are in order down the line regardless.

Some of the art from the book is being used in the steel book cyberpunk release, I said it's nothing official otherwise... I'm not sure what the issue is. It looks cool.

They commissioned the same artist, but those Steel books are of Gang Member Characters in Cyberpunk 2077 (you've got the Maelstrom Leader at the back, a Tiger Claw and Valentino).

You aren't wrong. We will see.

Someone I know has the Xbox version.

He played offline because he didn't want to install the 50+gb patch it prompted.

Says its 30fps and there is no performance mode or whatever toggle.

Game looks like straight up cancer in motion. Definitely 30fps on XSX right now. When he goes online, it asks for a 54gb patch. I doubt that one is going to enable 60fps.

At home now and cancelled my xbox pre order. Not gonna play a cross gen game that is 30fps.
