I would've started again from scratch, if they would've added a PS5 PRO patch.

I got this on black Friday and finished the main story a few days ago. Absolutely amazing game! I'm going to play through the DLC soon, but I'm having a great time just screwing around in the city.

I bought two copies of this over Black Friday; one Xbox and one PS5. I can't decide which to actually play. I am leaning towards PS5 due to haptics, however the Xbox version has the expansion on disc instead of the lame PSN code with PS5.

My plan was always to start this over the holiday break, as my unit shuts down for two weeks. Still undecided about which version to play. Maybe this update will bring some clarity? :messenger_grinning:

(or if anyone here has an opinion)

I thought that of they ever updated this game again it would be announced in a tweet not a livestream. Intrigued about what they could add that needs this sort of presentation!

Is the game actually good now or is it good as in "it's not a tragedy like it released. they turned it into a playable thing but the real problems still persist"?

IMHO "it's not a tragedy like it released. they turned it into a playable thing but the real problems still persist"

On PC you may have the ability to make it look like a PS7 game but short of that, it struggled to hold my interest and wasn't really anything special. It wasn't terrible, but not Witcher 3 level by a longshot. A solid 8.5/10 with the caveat that you may get bored quick and not finish it like me, my brother, my cousin, my aunt, my friends, ect. Safe to skip imho. First person gameplay, it could never really overcome. If you find GTA boring sometimes like I do, that boredom is on full display here.

If you are a big PC modder it may be your goat but from what I played, the game is safe and definitely not revolutionary or edgy in any real way. It's completely irrelevant but may be fun as a time waster. You can tell they had Elon Musk ideas but it never really panned out in any of the gameplay. Conceptually it was flawed and could never recover so there was only so much any rework could do. Modded graphics go a long way to alleviate this and the graphics tech on PC is elite which is another reason it is so disappointing it looks pretty mediocre on PS5. Definitely not great looking unless you are on PC, so that actually hurts it too, a big part of this game was supposed to be the graphics I expect.

Witcher 3 just had better characters too. Everything about Witcher 3 still is better.

The way the game is built allows endless content patches, I dunno why they are abandoning it and moving to UE5.

That's what i wanted to know. Thanks. Mods can make the game look better, but the game had bigger problems than just that.

Already played through once, have been waiting before doing another run with the dlc + all the updates, should be fun. Loved my time with this game. An amazing experience.
Wonder what they will add ? Hopefully more than just Pro enhancements. More content would be nice.

Agreed, what got me when I played the game was the sheer density of the environments. It’s just packed to the brim with detail.

Many people like me enjoyed the hell ouf ot it even at launch (on pc tho).

The substance was always there, now they just de-bethestified the game.

I know people compared this to w3, so my 2 cents are that story and charas are not as good (but the location is arguably more interesting than yet another fantasy medieval game), but the gameplay is light years better.
