i thought this was today? do we know what 2.2 has yet?????????
oh nvm it's live

pauline's cute

they are shifting it off to another studio for the update.......this can be good or bad.

could be good that they are getting another developer to help. could be that they want to make the game better but don't want to do it themselves.

and of course it could be bad.

car colour customisation???

not worth it.

aspect ratio photo mode : PC only

lol. need to wait for the PS5 Pro patch console people ;)

if they ever do it then it won't be for a long time yet.

this update seems like a lot of shit. if they really wanted to do PS5 Pro they could've delayed it.

they have handed this update off to another studio lol so yeah don't hold your breath for PS5 Pro support ;) it'll run just like it does on PS5 hahaha

nah. plenty of PS5 players have bought the game since then.

ps5 players are so damn entitled :messenger_tears_of_joy:

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES MORE CHARACTER CREATION CUSTOMISATION!!!

fuck yeah

i play on PC

🤷‍♂️

holy shit this looks so cool!

FUCK YOU lipstick :messenger_beaming:

they have moved onto the next witcher game. maybe they like the game so much they want to make it better but don't want to do it themselves. it's not like it's major features. just cool stuff and QoL changes.

they could've just not released this update and most people would be happy. nobody expected this update but i appreciate it.

you do see your character but OK. yes it's only in the menu, mirrors, and certain scenes but it's still cool to have.

the game is better in 1st person anyway. third person would suck.

dont upset the PS5 Pro owners ;) they got $700 on the line here they need to justify....

could've just not watched it.
don't be so stupid lol. it'll break some mods (who cares) they've made the game better so i'm happy they are doing it. and there's no way this would cost even 1% the budget of a second expansion lol.
You're putting in a lot of work for a free update.

Holding out hope there's a bunch of bugfixes in the patch notes. As someone who enjoys gameplay first, kind of a light patch for me. But still cool that they're working on the game.

they did say the full patch notes would be available. would be surprised if there aren't some bug fixes.

Yeah, but all in all, 2.2 is a smart move. The people keeping Cyberpunk 2077 alive nowadays are the roleplayers and the people who use photomode and the stuff they showed heavily.

it's been 4 years since the game came out. what important stuff did you expect?
The last two were worth watching and they told the community to tune in as if it was important. Turns out it isn’t.

You: But u shouldn’t have watched, gaiz!!!

As if we knew in advance what was in the patch. Idiotic replies from you.

PS5 Pro users trolled themselves by buying that piece of junk
I paid $5 for the disc version in case they released a 3rd person version way before the Pro was even close. Mia Wallace paid $5 for a shake in 1994

I'm glad this update isn't so big that I actually feel the need to create a new character this time. Seems like with every new big update I make a new character, play through the heist, and then quit shortly after.

Couldn't even be arsed to fix the menu opening when you press square bug when a new item is automatically inserted into your inventory.

Or Trauma Drama default firing position being up, despite lowering the high score to take leaderboard.

People in here asking for a PS5 Pro patch crack me up. Like. The least necessary console update in history and now getting butthurt a developer won't spend a ton of extra time catering to them. Just play the game or get a PC if you want the top of the line graphics.
You're a hypocrite. So PC gets endless, graphics focused patches yet you declare console people who just bought the console hoping for a PC-like experience (especially om CP2077 which is still the showcase game for RT) have no right to ask for a patch?

Despite being done with the RED Engine, we DEMAND CDPR allocate resources into patching this game to work with PSSR.
If they added PSSR there wouldn't be anything left over for RT upgrades. Best case scenario is a Callisto Protocol like update that keeps FSR and adds RT reflections or RTGI ...

Considering CP2077 is THE ray tracing showcase still, it's very disappointing how limited the RT currently is on console. The Pro should at least be able to add RT reflections. Not to mention the DRS is running higher now on Pro and the IQ issues are not so pronounced anymore.

I think them leaving the engine put the nail in that coffin. At least that way the work they did with RED and PSSR would have some future value. We've seen that implementing it is not a straightforward process. Seems to take a lot of tuning.

I would also love to know how much NVIDIA gave CDPR. I doubt PC gets all the graphical updates it got if not for NVIDIA backing.

CDPR is a PC developer though. That's the primary platform. Consoles are just a side gig anyways. I doubt the core team even works on them.

But there is no update to FSR3.1, nor for XeSS2, or PSSR.
DLSS is the only priority for CDPR.

Gotcha. I do remember injecting FSR3 on my 2.0 playthrough. I think they've had those Nvidia deals since before they updated FSR the first time. I remember it was pretty public. I don't know if they marketed it themselves, but I'm finding articles about it.

Unless nvidia and CDPR have blocked mods that inject other upscalers, it's still possible to use FSR3.1 and XeSS2. But no option for PSSR on the Pro.

The game runs great on PS5 and PS5 Pro. Who cares if there’s a patch for it. If you haven’t played the game yet, go ahead and dive in. One of my favorite games of the past 5 years.

i'll come out and say it: it's a clunky game. movement is clunky. just doesn't feel fluid and crisp. shooting mechanics are mid. 1st person view sucks. menus are a nightmare. run into the situation of "am i doing something wrong or is this a bug" more than i can count. in the daytime, the pixelated, grainyness and shimmering of shadows and reflections suck ass.

i've deleted and redownloaded multiple times now thinking "this will be the time where i fall in love with it!!" and after about 30 minutes, i'm bored with it. mashing the right on the d-pad to get through the words words words of all the dialogue. then what happens when you finish the story? you just bomb around clunk fighting npcs? driving around awkwardly looking at shit graphics waiting for nighttime to come to see some cool effects here there? maybe jump into a shit side quest boss fight where you awkwardly dodge, shoot, reload, heal for 12 minutes?

i just don't get it. other than that, yeah. it's awesome!

What a silly thing to say.
I would be willing to bet their sales numbers say otherwise.
just because their sales say something otherwise doesn't mean that they aren't mainly a pc company. their games are absolutely night and day different on pc than on console. the game sells a shit ton on console because everyone is hoping to get the game they see on gameplays that are running 4090s with path tracing.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
CDPR: "Why should we work for free???"
As I said in the other thread, people don't think this way when they demand a free upgrade or a $10 upgrade path to the Remaster/Remake.
But a change in code via an update, way to much to ask.
