Was getting caught part of your plan?
I still find it a little odd that Rashida Jones is doing the screenwriting.

While I'm happy that Bo will return and (hopefully) have a more expanded role, I'm not sure if the plot itself really warrants a sequel. Kinda just feels like a last-minute thing they cooked up before they sent it over to Disney to greenlight it.

Also, whatever happened to having a new cast for a new trilogy?

Toy Story 4 confirmed to be a sequel about Buzz and Woody going out to look for Bo. I imagine that Jessie and the rest of the gang will go with. Wonder if Barbie and Ken will return, or even if the rest of Bonnie's toys will go on the adventure.

That makes two finding stories for these sequels.

Now they're gonna tell me Incredibles 2 about Violet actually being an orphan and finding her actual parents.

I'd say Bonnie's toys have a good shot of showing up again. I'm not sure about Barbie and Ken.

I don't think anyone but some fans ever suggested that. Pixar just said it'd go in a new direction, rather than force a new act onto the mortality/relevance arc of the other movies.

When I saw that empty space on the Coming Soon wall, I wondered if there was gonna be some movie between those two. Maybe Coco?

So, no Incredibles 2? That's pretty shocking, honestly. You'd think it'd be their showstopper.

Well, Brad Bird did say he only recently started the script (about early this year I think) so it's not really much of surprise that it didn't show in the show floor.

Coco will probably be the November 22, 2017 release.

Incredibles 2 and Cars 3 are further out. I believe Lasseter recently said the latter isn't due until summer 2018 or 2019. Those early announcements are primarily for shareholders.

If you missed any of the announcements from today's Animation panel, here is a beautiful summary of the movies that were presented:

I'm so into this. There's gonna be at least one more new IP in between Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2, as well.

So it'll be TS4, Coco, New IP, Cars 3, New IP, New IP, Incredibles 2, if they stick to their "three films every 2 years, 2/3 of which will be original concepts" line they've been giving.

Or, since The Good Dinosaur switched things up, it could just be TS4, Coco, Cars 3, New IP, New IP, Incredibles 2. So the 2-film years would be 2015, 2017, and I'd assume 2019 (someone said Incredibles 2 is slated for 2020, right?)

So what's Disney's Animation schedule looking like with Gigantic, Moana, Coco?
The Good Dinosaur (Nov 2015, Pixar)
Zootopia (Mar 2016, Disney)
Finding Dory (Jun 2016, Pixar)
Moana (Nov 2016, Disney)
Toy Story 4 (Jun 2017, Pixar)
Coco (Nov 2017, Pixar)
Gigantic (Mar 2018, Disney)
Cars 3 (summer 2018 or 2019, Pixar)
The Incredibles 2 (2019 or 2020, Pixar)

Sequels to Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph are somewhere down the pipeline (2018 and on) as well.
