Was getting caught part of your plan?
Gigantic has a giantess princess.

Here comes the Rule 34. :/

EDIT: She's eleven, crisis averted.
It is inevitable.

Anyone following the live blog just get really worried about an Inside Out 2 announcement? Thank goodness they're just talking about the short, haha.

because going with the first boy she speaks with is dumb

Lucky for you it's not actually a date

It's a great little short! It's more about Riley's parents than anything. Basically, the kid from the hockey game comes over and, while the dad sits with him in the kitchen, the mom goes upstairs to try and pry information about whether or not it's a date from Riley

We do go back into Riley's head with all the voices returning, but most of the short is from the dad's perspective and the inside of his own head and emotions

So, someone is going to have to convince me to get excited for The Good Dinosaur, because to be honest, it doesn't seem all that great or original so far (at least plot-wise).

The environment is going to be as photo-real as possible
director Peter Sohn and producer Denise Ream are presenting near photo-real CGI shots that draws gasps from the crowd.
Nature is a character in #TheGoodDinosaur, meaning they wanted to create visceral landscapes that seemed real
Still not quite sure on this direction

Yep. I think Moana is going to a watershed moment for animation. The work that all others are judged against from here on out.

photo real backgrounds with dumb play doh looking dinosaurs doesn't sound that interesting to me unfortunately. Are they still making that Day of the Dead film?

Yeah that's the thing that's really making me hesitant. Why didn't they just go with at least semi-realistic dinosaurs? It worked great for The Land Before Time.

First thought that popped in my head reading the Twitter responses was "Wow, Disney fans are nuts!"

I don't think they are Disney fans at all. The reason why they are all so enthusiastic on knowing who's Moana is because there's a rumor that a girl from some girlband is gonna be the one that plays her. So those are basically the fans wanting to know if she actually is.

The last time Disney tried that, it didn't go great.

Yeah I've heard mixed things about that movie. I'm afraid to watch it, honestly. Still, tech has come a long way since then and Pixar can make good-looking semi-realistic characters. Finding Nemo and especially Brave are evidence that Pixar can handle animals in a fairly realistic manner well.

The Good Dinosaur looks great exactly because of the photo realistic backgrounds striking with the more cartoony designs and colors of the dinosaurs. It looks great!

Ah, I see. I couldn't figure out why the actress announcement would be such a huge deal. I didn't know that was a thing.

I don't know, I think I would consider Dinosaur a bit more on the too realistic side in regards what they were aiming with the film's tone and what not. I think 'semi-realistic" I think of the t-rex from Meet the Robinsons, but maybe that's too cartoony.

But it's been a minute since I saw Land before Time.

One word that throws everyone into a panic: Feathers

Please it's a CG kids film if there's any place to peddle feathers it would be here. They could have done something truly remarkable but yet they just recreated the dinosaurs from The Land That Time Forgot and gave them googly eyes.

Mixing live action environments with semi-anthropomorphic CGI dinosaurs did not turn out very well with the tech Disney had, especially compared to now. The writing didn't help its case, either.
