Dance Dance Revolution with MARIO

I predict a Mario karaoke game in the near future. They gotta put some more use into the mic periphial...

Mario is the Bo Jackson of videogames.

Yeah, but how would that even work? How many times can you even sing "Do The Mario?"

Maybe you can play the bongos while you dance and sing!!! OMG!

I enjoy DDR having 2 BNS pads, and I'm a pretty big Nintendo fan, but this is ridiculous. I'd feel incredibly silly playing this game.

And I just made my huge rant thread about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Nintendo,

WHEN THE FUCK IS MARIO GOING TO PLATFORM AGAIN??

Nintendo rocks.

Its about time they have a game where you sing, and dance simultaneously.

Why? If the remixes are good, what's wrong with taking Nintendo characters and putting them into the DDR equation? I think it's a good idea, personally, even though you couldn't pay me enough to add a GC to my collection.

It is a good idea, but it is just a nuclear bomb waiting to happen on this forum.

I wonder if you will get to dance to songs like Butterfly, or if will be all Nintendo stuff & BINGO.

You're forgetting the DK rap!

Oh, crap... I still have a copy of the DK64 OST lying around that I never listened to. Maybe I should, now that you've reminded me of this.

Awesome!

All I need is a working adapter for my current Playstation DDR pads, and I'm in.
I'd imagine existing adapters for PS2 controllers should work fine unless they do something incredibly goofy with the GCN pads like make up = R, left = Start, etc. Though I don't have a decent DDR pad yet it only makes sense to get one that will most easily be used everywhere.

When Mario gets inserted into the Mega Man series.

I want to know when this will make it to North America.
And if it doesn't make it here, it better DAMN well be compatible with the Freeloader.

Yeah, I'm not ready to take the plunge with current adapters until I know they'd work properly.

Mario is a weaksauce DDR player. Max 300, you damn n00b!

Probably in the latter half of 2005. And did you know it's extremely easy to switch-mod a GameCube?

AHH! I beg you, don't buy this when it comes out! It only encourages them!

Hmm, anyone think the reason RE4 went multiplatform was because Capcom refused to put Mario in it? At least I think they did...

Right, the last fucking thing we want to encourage anybody to do is create fun games. Where on earth is this industry going?

Yeah, I'm just paranoid about opening up systems (even though I've got a launch Cube and nothing close to a warranty anymore) :P

Part of Nintendo's article translated:

"Furthermore it is held from January 16th in nationwide 4 place, it exhibits jointly inside the Shogakukan Inc. " next generation world hobby fair 2005 " meeting place, in the コナミブース * Nintendo Co. booth."

What/where is that?

The World Hobby Fair is a toy/games expo held in Tokyo in January. Nintendo typically shows off their games there, sometimes debuting titles like this one.

Ah, cool. Anyone gonna be there, so you can tell us all how it is? :D

About time. This will sell a lot, people always used to ask me about DDR on GCN.

Ever since Donkey Konga was released, I've been saying there should be a mode where people can play bongo's to the music to the people who are dancing. That would be HOT.

OMG .. please don't let Nintendo find out that they could somehow do a platformer with the DDR dance pad (just like Donkey Konga with the drum)

to be honest, too many Mario
This will make more people think Nintendo Console is a machine only for playing Nintendo games only

Considering the actual title of the game is Dance Dance Revolution with MARIO, consider sequels:

Dance Dance Revolution with LINK
Dance Dance Revolution with DK
Dance Dance Revolution with KIRBY
Dance Dance Revolution Smash Bros
Dance Dance Revolution Jump Super Stars?

Urrrm.... It is.

ex: I own a GBA sp and a Gamecube.

On January 11th I'm purchasing 2 Capcom products, 1 for each machine.
1) Gamecube - Resident Evil 4
2) GBA sp - Legend of Zelda Minish Cap

Both by Capcom, both for Nintendo machines. 1 is obviously not a 'Nintendo' game, and 2 is seemingly one, but also, is not. ;)
