I legit think I'm the best vote for town today in that it gives us the most info. I'd vote for me if I didn't know I was town. I'm not going to put my selfish desire to play the game longer over increasing the odds of a town victory.

I don't understand why, as Despair, you'd kill someone just on the hunch they were a PR when you have actual PRs who have outed like Makai or goshujin. I'm pretty sure that Salva was killed because he was found.

Not this again, I'm not for anyone willingly killing themselves (even if we don't have a tanner/jester character) I think that a vote to kill someone to prove some other person is not scum has to come from someone else, and it has to mean more than confirming one other person (in my opinion)

We also don't know if czartim ran into anyone else, if he did any number of those could have been despair and just killed salva anyway figuring (I saw x number of people what are the chances that IF one of them announces who they saw that the rest of them chose right?)

For example kingkitty decides he wants to visit terra (for whatever reason),and salva decided he was going to switch me for crab then "theoretically" czartim should have seen all of them, and all of them would have seen czartim and I think each other. Add in people from down south coming up to the Death Valley via the same path then you would have a big group of people to hide that free investigation in (especially with the fight club free kill)

It is not a long list outside those already discussed. I believe salva came down to the bottom row. I only would have seen people moving to the left though.

I am not a Power Role, just an Ordinary Student. I was only asking question that was taken as a reveal and I was surprised by how other players went ahead and ran with the idea that it was a reveal. I thought maybe I could have drawn at least some heat from Despair and put myself into a position where they would have to at least use their abilities on me. Furthermore, I thought there may be some information that can be gleaned from how my fellow players were reacting. Therefore I played along.

Crab, I received no information if SalvaPot had targeted me or not.

I have no other defence or rebuttal. It was an early blunder from which I have constantly tried to amend with quality posts and thoughtful contributions. If Hope believes I am a liability more than an asset, I would understand being placed forward as a punishment candidate.

Should I be the chosen one to go, I urge Hope to look into CzarTim with greater scrutiny. But more importantly, to participate more and join in our great hunt for Despair.

I shall endeavour to answer any questions to the best of my abilities. Good luck, Hope!

The latter isn't even that useful because I'm almost 100% confident it's true or this set is grossly unbalanced. We then know AbsolutBro is town, but if you think Czar is Hope you must think that anyway. If you don't think Czar is Hope it doesn't matter re: Ninja because there is other evidence, and it ends up saying nothing about AbsolutBro anyway.

Lynch Czar if you think he's scum, rather than to get "information" - it's genuinely not clear to me that we actually get that much valuable information at all. If you think he's town... vote scum.

I wouldn't put too much into that post at this point. The possibility of a Ninja had not occurred to me, neither did the idea that Czar would be going into MY room instead of Franconp's.

And I didn't really base my "survival" on anything; I thought I was dead for crossing paths with a killer. Still kind of do.

I'm on #teamdontvotepauyet after the role claim. Unless Pau is the most important despair ever, I can't see another despair putting himself out there by making a lovers role claim, at least not on Day 3. If Pau later ends up dead and is found to be despair, then bam, we got an instant paper trail.

If I was despair, and Pau was despair too, I'd think the best course would be to cut our losses. Or even actively throw Pau under the bus.

As I mentioned in a earlier post, I could see a scenario where Czar as despair makes up a one-shot role claim, then tries to gain trust with the school by clearing innocent AB. But I have to wonder, was today the best day to do this? I suppose showing some "helpful" initiative would give off better hope vibes to the school.

The students at this school already discussed several positives to Czar's painful and slow death. If he's town, we would gain (perhaps not 100 percent, but I think pretty good) confirmation of AB's hope alignment. And it would confirm the existence of a silent killer. Also, at least the death would be for a regular student with no more important powers.

If he's despair, then awesome. And it might increase strong suspicion upon AB. My belly tells me Czar is trying to be a helpful townie, but I also know his death might bring at least some information for the school.

I'm still okay keeping my vote on Kalor for now, since I rather try to kill someone that I think could be despair trying to slip away, instead of someone who I think has a high chance of being a good guy townie. Although his death clearing AB's alignment is a bit persuasive. But for now I'll stick with my gut vibes.

Pau's is independently verified and you and Czar cross-verify each other in the sense you know you passed each other and agree on that. The only thing his death might verify is that you are Town, but that hasn't really helped us because we had to sacrifice a Town to do it, so it's not a net gain for Hope.

The potential power role they have is the one thing that has been preventing me from voting for them before. They said they would only reveal at the start of a day but I guess they might if they were under pressure.

To clarify, I wasn't suggesting voting for Czar. I meant how much do other players need that confirmation.

I'm honestly not sure where to go with my vote at this point.

AbsolutBro, I meant it in the way that in the unlikely event where people had decoded your message and had gone after your suggestions and should they were found to be misleading, your chance of survival in the game might have been lessened severely. I believe you volunteered that information with the best of intentions, at the high cost to yourself.

On a more serious note, I'm probably actually going to unvote Makai in the almost certainly vain hope (heh) that he is just a clueless Hope PR and I don't know if he's on GAF in time for the deadline so it feels unfair to throw the ultimatum down when he can't respond, but if he doesn't claim first thing the next Day Phase I will not stop until he is lynched that day.

That's exactly my point. I said it was calculated. He has 13 goddamn posts. Less than Barry. But he has made sure not to get prodded for inactivity. He's done the bear minimum. That's on purpose, to avoid notice. The discussion every day has mostly been centered around active players. Both high and mid activity level players.

There's Despair hiding out in Low Postcount Realm. Tl21xx is that.

I'm also getting a little bummed out by how our conversations have become largely mechanical. PRs don't matter. I mean, really, they don't matter. They have at best incidental influence on the course of the game. The main thing that matters is little social tells and cues and so on that everyone makes regardless of what their role is. The trouble is, it's hard to see these social cues when nobody is being social because there's interaction between people but instead interaction between each individual person and the gameplay mechanics. Up until now I had Czar pegged as fairly sensible for trying to avoid this, but now he's succumbing to the desire to focus on PR/mechanical stuff as somethng more than just "another way of inducing people to volunteer tells" as well.

fair enough. I honestly have been pretty disengaged this game after I got the fight club list because I don't like dancing around people, and tbh I am having a hard time motivating myself to invest a lot of time into the game because of the constant misplays by power roles. I'm just frustrated and honestly haven't even reread a lot so my reads aren't great right now.
