Personally, I didn't hate it, but I thought the first was much better. Top three Marvel movie for me.

This is a pretty fair fight, both are steaming turds.
I'd have to say DKR is the less-bad of the two. It has some fun scenes. It's just bonkers. Some weird and wacky stuff happens. Watch it as an Adam West Batman and it's perfect!
MoS is just - pure shit, every bit of it with the lone exception of Dianne Lane and to some extent Rusty.
The casting is otherwise garbage. Lois is plain as hell and looks far too old. Cavill got huge but is balding and has an elongated head and cannot act. Costner was shit, but didn't have a lot to work with.
Clark was a useless dickhead who had to ask everyone what to do constantly. What a piece of shit.
Every line of dialogue was expository SHIT. Oh god it was so bad.
I tried to watch it again but it made me too angry.

Man of Steel is better than every Marvel movie starring Thor
MoS and Thor 2 were fairly average movies, but MoS was probably the worst for me. Lifeless, wooden characters and acting, with terrible fight scenes that basically consisted of zero consequence, mind numbingly repetitive, ping pong Dragon Ball Z esque back and forth's, that made combat seem almost entirely pointless.
I usually stay out of the TDKR-related threads because I fucking love that movie. It's not perfect but it hits the right notes and delivers on the action and drama. An awesome conclusion to The Dark Knight Trilogy.
Man of Steel is a flawed movie with strong performances and action but poor plotting, pacing, and dialogue. It's easily the weaker film but has its merits.

I know it's a big week for MCU fans, but you know what? The Incredible Hulk, Thor 2, Iron Man 2&3, and
were all worse than either TDKRises or Man of Steel.

Man of Steel was abysmally paced and over all really boring except for the absurd ending action, which was admittedly pretty cool but hardly redeemed the two hours that came before.
The Dark Knight Rises was kinda uneven and definitely the worst of the trilogy, but still better than Man of Steel in almost every regard.
I fell asleep for roughly 80% of Thor 2 in a loud theater, so there's that.

the Thor 2 advantage is low. I will say this.
I've rewatched TDKR a couple times and I havent watched Thor 2 more than the theatre time
but I remember being more disappointed coming out of TDKR than the latter
there is absolutely no defending MoS tho
