Pfffft white meat cucks!

I used to be a white meat chicken breast cuck too. After living in Asia I was converted.

In the UK chicken breast is the most expensive cut of chicken whilst thighs, wings and legs are dirt cheap.

In Japan it was the opposite, the dark fattier, juicer meat would be priced at a premium. Chicken breast would be like a 1/3rd of the price because no one wanted it. 😏

Give me a crispy skin on, bone in chicken thigh or give me death!

So is this some genetic thing, like cilantro? Where genetically inferior hominids lack the advanced form of tastebuds that detect the specific molecules that make something taste like ass?

You're entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong it may be... Also white meat stans don't know how to cook for sure. Chicken breast is just trash.

Dark meat is better for things like stew and stir fry because it doesn't dry out as quickly as white meat. But for fried chicken I'm all about the wings.
 
I voted white meat, then looked up Dark meat and found the drumstick is considered dark meat.

The drumstick is the best.

Apparently white meat is healthier though, whatever, I still vote dark meat/ drumstick.
 
I like steak cut thinly and totally black. Like totally burnt, ruined. I was raised by my grandma and that's the way she used to cook it, and that's the way I like it.

It's a very unhealthy way, so I don't recommend it..

Although, I'm still glad dark is undervalued where I live so I can get it on the cheap. 😉
 
I've learned to brine all my white meats, helps retain moisture and impart flavors. Chicken breasts makes for a a good manicotti stuffing ground with cream cheese when replacing ricotta, i don't like ricotta.
it really just comes down to how it's all prepared.

Although I guess it depends on how much you eat it and how it's prepared.

Pro tip: I never clean chicken meat. Saves times and never been sick. I bet you use nasty lemon
 
Depends on the dish.
Can't stand dark meat in soups or any dish where pieces of chicken are needed.
Bbq, fried, roasted, jerk?I don't mind dark meat.
White meat is palatable in any application.
 
I would say it depends on the fish. I love salmon and tuna, tilapia as well, but try as I might, catfish is just bad. I don't understand why the southern states love it so much. Now Minnesota and walleye, 🤤🤤🤤 yes please.
I'll eat catfish any day, good stuff : ) And I'd even take basic catfish over the world's finest sirloin or whatever, fish is just such a perfect food

I am lglad that so many white meat lovers with terrible taste live in the USA. It means I can get the leg and thigh meal for cheap at my local chicken place. Hell yeah.
 
You're doing it wrong if your white meat is dry. It should be moist. Trying buttering it up first. Meal and some light foreplay should do the trick.

Or just baste them in some cheesy sauce. Nom nom
 
I agree, dark meat tastes better. I think the reason some people prefer white meat comes down to nutritional misinformation. For decades, "experts" informed us that fat is bad and low-fat is good. Since white meat is lower in fat than dark, it became the "healthier" choice. I still remember all the women at work who would bring their salads with chicken breast for lunch every day...

p.s. Just talking about chicken here. I didn't think about other meats.

If you eat only fish the probability of mercury poisoning is very high. That is part of why pregnant women are explicitly told to avoid doing that.
I don't eat only fish, I eat 2 or 3 fish meals a week, a lot of vegetarian greek/indian in between, and also 2-3 very light white meat meals.

(But the mercury thing isn't as extreme everywhere in the world, many healthy nations eat heavier amounts of fish from local waters that aren't as bad / or choose better types that don't accumulate it as much; it's just a sad thing about pollution in some areas. And most other meat also carries all kinds of hormones and risks so there's no real escape anyway.)
 
As a kid, I always wanted white meat.

As an adult, I've discovered the truth.

Dark meat for life.
