Thats a XBOX360 controller driverI don't see "2.1.0.1349" in my driver versions. Is there a way to get that driver?
EDIT: Is this fix only for wireless XBox One controllers? I'm using a wired one...

Are you saying that you're still getting these issues after doing that, or updating drivers and disabling the overlay caused it?
-Disabled Intel speedstep and turbo boost
That's not weird, that's normal (as in not specific to you). What do you think everyone else in the thread is talking about when they say "stuttering"?I have a weird issue where if i pick up and item while running, the game will stutter for a brief second.
The stutter also happens when I get a status effect like poison.

So after reading a couple of pages I've taken some ''cliffs'' as to improve performance, please correct me if I'm wrong:
- Disable Motion Blur
- Disable Depth of Field
- Set Shadows at least to Medium
- Disable SSAO (maybe?)
- Max ''Performance'' on the NVIDIA Control Panel
Am I missing something?
Win10, wireless.
a lot of people are having itAnyone else getting a consistent microstutter?
It's really annoying and easiest to notice when rotating the camera slowly, but I have no idea how to get rid of it and it's driving me insane. I feel like i've tried a lot to remedy the issue to no avail.

Does no one else notice this? Is this widespread?
Game ran perfectly for 8 hours without a crash.
Now it crashes after 1 second every time i load the game. Im in firelink shrine. Cant do nothing. Game Over.
And too late for a refund. Im so pissed....

yeah there's a lot of people with that as well, me included. are you using an xbox one pad or win 10? I had the same issues in dragons dogmaI thought people were only having stutter issues when saving occurs. This is happening when I'm just standing still and no saving is happening. Just camera movement is enough for the stuttering to occur.
Huh - well I guess that explains my performance issues. I'll try this when I'm back home.
Something I have noticed. Today I turned on MSI overlay that shows clock frequencies and everything.
This is with a 970
When the game stutters it seems to be dropping the clock rate for a second. In my case the clock is boosted to like 1336 and then it drops to the default 1114 for a second, usually when loading areas etc. This is even with performance set to max.
It also seems that most of the time the vram usage doesn't really go over 60%. I think firelink shrine is one of the highest places. So I wonder if people with 2gb and less cards are getting crashes because of that. Especially if it is resetting everything to high every time you start the game.
GPU usage was usually fairly low too like 60% at most.
Temps stayed 61 and lower.
So I wonder if that stutter is related to the game for some reason causing things to down clock for a moment. I'll have to try locking the clock settings in using afterburner and see if it changes anything.

Any word on if this helped with your performance?
I can barely hit above 30 GPS rubbing 2x 970s. Seems I'm getting almost no performance gain from sli
Yeah, pretty sure DS3 was the end of my 980ti. I've tried rolling back drivers, etc; and my card is crashing in any 3d game I play now. Was perfectly fine prior to DS3, and was even fine the first day of DS3. Bleh.

I fixed my fps issue by...
Increasing pagefile...
Steady 60 now with few things maxed most on high and typical shadows on low.
I7 3770k (which ds3 only uses 23% of), gtx670 (which is maxed) and 16gb of ram.
Pagefile was 2gb and I raised it, kind of weird!

I have this annoying bug where even though I have the auto detect graphical setting off, it still lowers some of my settings every time I start the game (mainly the lighting, reflections and shader) is there any way to make it stop doing that ?

I tried it and couldn't tell if it made a difference or not. If I had to guess I'd say it hasn't.
Does it matter what drive the pagefile is on or should it be the one where the OS is installed to?
Yea a game shouldn't be able to damage a graphics card (even a power virus) as there are quite a few protections in place. I suspect it has nothing to do with DS3 or it's just a software/driver issue and the card is fine.
Pagefile gets as high as 8gb on an 8gb RAM system while the game is running so yea 2gb is definitely not enough.
Anyone has a solution on why the fuck does everything but the knight class cause the game to crash?
