Darksiders II |OT| What starts with War, ends with Death.

Trying to figure out which place to preorder from for bonuses. I think gs for the side quests would be best. The limited edition armor and shit seems like it would be replaced pretty quickly.

That's where I pre-ordered from.

I figured more actual gameplay content trumps items you're going to replace eventually anyway.

shopTHQ, for the Season Pass. It will include the day 60 and day 90 DLCs, both of which are extra single-player content (quests, dungeons, enemies, etc.).

Just got the horse in the first game. I think I'm passed the half way point by now.

So when is the point of no return I should save before again?(Incase completion trophy doesn't register)

and is there anything you can do with empty bottles? They just sit their in my inventory and I'm not sure I can fill them with anything. Doesn't seem like I can sell them.

Thinking about doing a Nightmare Mode stream Weds or Thurs evening. Anyone interested? It's going to be mega painful!

I'd definitely be interested if there was developer commentary from yourself to accompany it.

Rather Thursday more than Wednesday. Better time for me in general and gives me more time to play to a point where you won't pass me on stream. lol

After you run around the entire world again to gather some stuff you should save. It will be pretty obvious when you get there.

I really, really want to play this game, but I don't want to, or better said, I don't really have time to go through 1.

It's essential?

I went with Amazon for convenience. Either way though, pre-order bonuses suck.

Nope, they happen side by side, you will just miss out on that feeling of seeing characters that are from 1 popping up in this. Read up on the story online it shouldnt take too long

According to someone on gamefaqs, all of the preorder armors/weapons are in the game, kind of. The model of each of those armors/weapons are repeated throughout the game, so you may find some armor that looks exactly like Death Armor, just with a different color scheme and set of stats.

I started Darksiders 1 yesterday, i'm 7 hours in and freaking loving it. No way i'll have it beat by the time 2 releases but after this i'll need a buffer game in the middle anyway. Wish I hadn't kept this on the back burner for so long but seems like there was always something else. Oh yea plus my online shooter addictions lol.

You are a little under half way done :P

you can definitely beat it by the 14th (if you dont have many distractions that is)

As others have said, you're about halfway there. What's really going to slow you down soon are some incredibly tedious (read: lame) puzzles. Similar puzzles in the sequel are my biggest fear.

I was super hyped for Darksiders pre-release but ended up without my PS3 for an extended time following its release, so decided to marathon through it starting yesterday. 10 hours in on what I assume is the endgame stretch and its been awesome.

I will probably hold off on 2 until the Wii U, but depending on the praise and response to things like dungeon design, puzzles, loot and world design I may cave in on payday this week.

Yea I peaked at the IGN walkthrough a couple times and I think i'm less than half way through. I'll have several hours tomorrow overnight to play so i'm gonna make a push but I don't see myself beating it or buying it this week even though I do want it now.

Need to go back in time and re-vote for top games in 2010. This shoulda been somewhere up on that list. :)

A bit underhand if true, but really the best solution for everyone. You still get to play with the preorder items even if you bought from a different retailer.

Plus I'm hearing that
they aren't really great and they become useless really quickly anyway. It's more cosmetic than anything

It might come across as a bit of a con but honestly it makes sure everyone gets the same game across the board.

it makes the gamestop/game deal the best one out there as you also get 2 extra side quests.

I don't care about the other preorder 'bonuses' but cutting out sidequests for DLC really bothers me. This, like Deus Ex HR last year, is a game where I just don't care and I'll buy it anyways but missing out on ANY part of the game because I didn't buy it at X retailer has stopped me from buying games new in the past and will in the future. Even if it's just a minor little thing, I like my games completely intact.

At least it'll be 50 cents on steam in a month or so, and either way the GMG preorder was over 20 bucks cheaper than what I'd be paying at EBgames after taxes and such. Even the season pass on the THQ site probably can't match up to that.

It's actually really close. I paid $54.61 after tax on THQ and will receive $20 in DLC when they release.

I am so frustrated with Darksiders 1 on PC. It crashes, it not smooth, and it is just a frustrating experience.

I saw on gamespot.com that they released videos showing the story of the origional darksiders. As someone who has never played all the way through DS1 would you recommend continuing suffering through the technical issues on PC or should I just watch the videos to learn the story?

DS1 was perfect for me on my rig. What specs do you have? Could be a driver issue and have you tried doing an integ check in steam?

Got my GMG key, Currently preloading right now. Good thing I have a 4 day weekend coming up.

Ran great for me.

I'm trying to avoid spoilers as much as possible, but there's two different ways to skill up your character correct? One ranged/magic and one melee?

Also enjoy how my grade f isp woes turns into stealth brag thread haha.

Intel i7 2600k
Nvidia GTX 570
16 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit.

I have read multiple people having the same issues. Can you guys please let me know if I shoudl just watch the story in videos or is it actually worth suffering through playing through?

I noticed the season pass is being advertised already on PSN. It says it gives you a discount on upcoming content, I think it's probably worded poorly. Can anyone clarify?
