David Jaffe comments on the 360/PS3 (heated words is an understatement)

Install base, BC, existing tools and system familiarity says otherwise.

And as he said, financially it makes sense. He's talking from a 'fan' of the game perspective. If I was a fan of the game (I'm not,) I'd prefer a PS3 GoW in 2007 than a PS2 GoW in 2006.

Haha, reminds me of Raiden's time travelling.

I AM a GoW fan, I've played through it at least 6 or 7 times and I definately want a PS2 GoW in 2006. GoW is one of the best looking games on PS2. While I loved the puzzles and combat mechanics, now that the engine is complete, they can built and tweak and grow. I'd much rather have a fully realized GoW on PS2. There's still plenty of time for PS3 GoW.

Anyone who saw the MGS2 trailer would understand this, seeing as the game did not look like the same calibur during game play once it hit the market.

final build of MGS2 actually looked *better* than the original trailer, running at double the resolution.

Hey, it's a point of view. NG is my favorite action game and I prefer NG 2 to be released on a next gen console (which will be the case.) Same with Zelda. I'm a big fan of the franchise, and I'd prefer Nintendo to delay the upcoming Zelda more time and have it for the Revolution release or a few months afterwards with revamped graphics and game mechanics.

God of War probably cost a lot of money to make, so Sony will likely try to cash in on the PS2 engine and assets with another game, and also help establish it as a franchise, before launching on PS3. Aren't they doing the same thing will Killzone?

And yet, MrBob says of Ninja Gaiden: Black

;)

When fully utilized, Xbox does what PS2 don't. :) Ninja Gaiden is the greatest game of this generation. So with a ton of extras the double dip is worth it. Especially at only 30 bucks. If God of War 2 retails for $29.99 as well I'll pick it up right away.
