Off the top of my head, here's a list of games that are either 1080p or 30 fps when played on PS5, i.e. they never received anything beyond a PS4 Pro patch:
  • Alienation
  • Bloodborne
  • Concrete Genie
  • Dead Nation (actually broken on PS5)
  • Destiny 1
  • God of War III Remastered
  • Gravity Rush Remastered
  • Gravity Rush 2
  • Killzone Shadow Fall
  • Last Guardian
  • Matterfall
  • Shadow of the Colossus
  • The Order 1886
  • Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
Any of these would warrant an upgrade more than Days Gone, which already runs at high res and 60 fps.

Strange that the trailer wasn't showing any sight of 'Remaster'.

I expecting the same level of lazy TLOUSpart2 Remastered got.

Not to mention this is a FULL DIGITAL GAME lmao.

I'll pay $10 for Horde assault. Looks like it'll be a lot of fun. I did enjoy the challenge modes Days Gone had.

Biggest middle finger to Bend and to the fans of DG. Everyone who liked it wanted a sequel not a fucking remaster you idiots

I'd love Sony to release a new SP game of this quality and if they did I'd be all in. With the history, charging for this for as a remaster is a huge troll.

Just look at the blog to see the amount of useless new features this remaster have.

They could even upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, but nah.

I loved Days Gone and was willing to support it in hopes of leading to a sequel despite how unnecessary it is, but as a digital only title it's a hard pass from me.

  • Alienation
    • How did this sell? How busy is Housemarque with Saros? They haven't even gone back to give Returnal a PS5 Pro patch.
  • Bloodborne
    • How busy is FromSoftware?
  • Concrete Genie
    • Studio no longer exists
  • Dead Nation (actually broken on PS5)
    • How did this sell? How busy is Housemarque with Saros? They haven't even gone back to give Returnal a PS5 Pro patch.
  • Destiny 1
    • Why would Bungie go back to Destiny 1?
  • God of War III Remastered
    • They're probably redoing the entire Greek Saga
  • Gravity Rush Remastered
    • Studio longer exists
  • Gravity Rush 2
    • Studio no longer exists
  • Killzone Shadow Fall
    • How did this sell compared to Horizon?
  • Last Guardian
    • Studio no longer with Sony
  • Matterfall
    • How did this sell? How busy is Housemarque with Saros? They haven't even gone back to give Returnal a PS5 Pro patch.
  • Shadow of the Colossus
    • Original Studio no longer with Sony and already remastered
  • The Order 1886
    • Studio no longer exists
  • Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
    • Naughty Dog is way too busy for that and these games need way more work
Days Gone remastered without DG2 is so dumb.

Day's Gone is getting a movie. Obviously they want a higher priced higher spec version of the game for when that movie hits. If both do well a DG2 is not out of reach/

I loved Days Gone and was willing to support it in hopes of leading to a sequel despite how unnecessary it is, but as a digital only title it's a hard pass from me.

Presumably you have the physical disc for the game already, this makes no sense.

Hot take, but I don't mind Playstation remasters. It takes away only a handful of developers to work on a remaster and its only a 10$ upgrade for the consumers. Especially with remasters like Days Gone and TLOU2, which provide additional content

That's fair, but the history of Sony and this game has to be taken into account. Charging for a remaster of a game when the developers have been outspoken against Sony and the players have been told a sequel won't happen is a bit meh.

Sony continues to remaster the games which are already pretty good on PS5 instead of the games that actually need a 60fps mode and resolution bump or the games which are still trapped on PS3

Well, here they go. They're doing a test run for this games sequel. It'll be interesting to see what the player numbers look like for that $10 upgrade. I personally don't think we'll ever get one and if they did it without the original director it would be complete shit. But maybe this will show them that people want single player games. The rest of the State of Play certainly seemed like they are starting to understand that again.

For a Sony underdog game I was hoping it’s good but it is dull game with probably one of the most annoying protags in a game like this.

But all in all, lol.

Jesus I loved this game and put a lotta hours into it but I ain't seeing much of a difference in the slightest

I knew that picking this up at the 20th anniversary sale was a no-brainer.

Probably gonna get the upgrade when it comes out and play it on the Pro.

That didn’t happen, Bend prioritised another game over it, similar to how ND has put Intergalactic before TLOU3..
The creative director of Days Gone, John Garvin certainly wouldn't agree with you there. Whatever happened, he's walked away blaming Sony and being very ouspoken.
