The whole thing just sounds incredibly stupid...but I personally don't find Zack Snyder to be an intelligent director - visually talented but not always the brightest. So who knows. Maybe. I'd be more keen to believe it if the source wasn't so dubious.

JL sounds like a bit of clusterfuck, but the Watchmen comparisions are promising.
I love what they say about other movies, the lighter Flash, BvS complete rewritten from scratch, Batman cheating a lot and being brutal. And Justice League Dark greenlit? Awesome, altough a bit shame Del Toro won't direct it himself

The source is just some user from comicbookmovie that claims to know a guy? Ha... To top it off, I checked his profile, and he only signed up days ago.

Fun read though, i'll give him that.

So....we all know this is bullshit right? I mean you wouldn't have Ted Kord over Batman in a JL film and the voice modulator idea was from Kevin Smith Fatman on Batman Podcast.

All of this smells horrible.

The TV series Gotham, while likely already in development at the time Smith had his Podcast about doing a "kid bruce wayne"/Gotham Academy tv series was probably influenced by it after it blew up online. I get the feeling they beefed up Bruce's role a lot, but that's just my take on it.

Wouldn't brush off Kevin's impact.

Voice modulator feels like the way Batman would go because it's techy and that's what he's all about. They'll have to work hard on getting the voice to sound good though, but if they can nail it I like the idea.

Remember that when people talk about the John Stewart Green Lantern, they are more often then not talking about the one from the cartoons, where he was an interesting and likable character. Plus, you know, he's a black superhero that a decent number of people are familiar with, and if that part of this rumor is true, then he lost his chance at a lead role.
Yep. He was pretty great in Justice League.

Hal Jordan was okay in the Green Lantern CGI cartoon, but I definitely preferred the Justice League Green Lantern.
they did even less with him in JLA and JLU. none of his architectural constructs, none of his past about how he became Hal's back-up and why. there really wasn't much to work with there. but his episodes with Wally were very good. all four (six if you count Alan Scott and Simon Baz) have very deep and meaty backgrounds that you can do a lot with.
I think you're focusing too much on "what they didn't include from the comics" and not "what they did do in the cartoon."

This all sounds like organised chaos, very interested to see how this turns out and if DC can actually pull some of this off.

A shame that Snyder wants Hal Jordan for JL, John Stewart would have been a much better character. Jordan feels a bit played out, even after only one movie.

Looks like something I'd write and send into comicbookmovie.com after two ambien and a finger of scotch.

What does "BOF" mean?

...aww jesus it's from comicbookmovie.

edit: How you gonna know what happens in the movie but you don't know who wrote the fuckin' thing? "It is a mystery!"

The other writer's identity must be kept secret Bobby.

Trust no one, it could be you or me.

Sounds ridiculous, but these comic movies always sound ridiculous before execution so thats not saying much. May turn out juuuuuuuust fine. Im willing to accept that sometimes this stuff just doesn't sound all that good when typed out, but can actually still be great once its actually realized.

Confession: I'm the secret writer.

And I hope you guys like Haunted Tank, because he gets more screentime than anyone else in the movie, and he's driven by Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. Also, I was really drunk when I wrote it, and can't remember anything else that happens. Haunted Tank though... Like.... an hour of screentime... minimum.

You know, the multiverse thing could have been made so much simpler by having each hero come from their own universe and then have a character to bring them all together.

Watchmen was a good read, but I don't want any DC movies like that. The thought of them trying to make this super dark is unappealing on its own.

So can we get Nathan Fillion as GL since you know.. he's GL in the Cartoon Movies.

I hate the sound of a depressed GL and a Batman being a bit crazy :(
