What do you mean by "officially"? They're still announcing PS3 games and even going back to add it to franchises that weren't on PS3 like Toukiden.Tecmo is actually the first (or second?) major Japanese pub to officially skip PS3 development now.
No Leifang? No buy...
What's the difference between the two versions by the way?

Well, yeah, "some". PS3 ain't going anywhere for a while. They said in the press they had PS4 only games coming. Perhaps not 100% confirmation of dropping PS3 support, but a very rare move amongst Japanese publishers in general.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune will cost 9,504 yen and have a 14,904 yen collectors edition. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus will cost 8,424 yen and have a 13,824 yen collectors edition. Both games will feature Marie Rose and Honoka on the front cover, given they were the most popular girls in the playable character election.
At a later date, Koei Tecmo plans to launch a download-only Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Starter Pack including a single character. It wont be free, and it will be possible to add additional characters by purchasing them separately. A release date and price for the Starter Pack will be announced later on.
Both Butt Battle and Beach Volleyball gameplay modes are in. More events than previous titles are planned.
Development on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is currently 18 percent complete.

Comes out in February? .....Development on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is currently 18 percent complete.
I guess Kasumi is no longer the poster girl of the franchise, lol
There for Helena, but I'm actually going to wait to see what the minigames are before importing.
I guess Kasumi is no longer the poster girl of the franchise, lol
It's actually happened before.
Dead or Alive 3, the original DoaX and DoaX Paradise didn't use her for the cover art (or had others in her place).
They better improve the casino bits.
Hahaha, oh man, I'm just having flashbacks to 2 and never allowing the game to patch so I could continue the casino exploit. They better improve the casino bits.
Sony needs to finally come around to let us organize the library.I've already ruined my PS4 dashboard with SV so why not make it worse.

Pick Tina in outfit 1 let her sit idle BOOMReally?, never notice.
Honoka is a troll characterYet she looks like all the other Asian characters, including Honoka who literally has the same face.
Hitomu is also German technically 3 western gals 4 Japanese and 1 Kstoute wifeI'm aware that two characters are not Asian.
But it should be no surprise at all that Hitomi is more popular in Japan than Tina.
ignore those numbers it was probably 18% at the clearing of pr it is probably feature complete right now.today's magazine said the game is 18% complete lol.
Be ashamed of your words and deeds.Vita it is.
I shouldn't play this on the TV.
You know, with the wife walking around
What I mean is she was the image of the franchise and the most popular character in Japan before Marie and Honoka were created. I own all the games, so I already know she is not in the cover in every single game, Paradise had her on the cover in the Japanese Collector's Edition anyway.
Marie Rose has her own audience and Honoka is apparently rather popular right now. Kasumi will probably continue to be the poster girl, but I guess if these two hold thier current ground that might change.
That's a nice way to sugarcoat it, sure.
She's basically a GILF to this audience
What am I sugarcoating? She has a different body type and appeals to people who aren't into bustier girls. It's a smaller segment I'm sure but it's one that she alone caters to.

Marie is Swedish. Assumptions are bad.
What if I told you in ninja gaiden 2 Ayane was 14 and Misty was 15 making them younger than Marie?I guess that makes sense. Age of consent is 15 in Sweden...
she's 19 in DOA5.
Wait a minute.... That game price is 9.500 yen???? The avarage new games price are around 6000-7000 yen in Japan. Even Final Fantasy games were around 8000 yen. Do I miss something here....
To those of you that are planning on importing this game:
-Do you speak japanese?
-If not are there subtitles or are the menus simple enough to navigate?
-Do you need a Japanese PSN account to play the import?
No Japanese. Can only read a few Katakana.
Menus are often easy to figure out
Nope, you can play it on your main account. But then everyone will know...
