Update: It's actually Crossfire that's giving me the grief, nothing to do with transferring saves from an old install or anything like that. A GPU upgrade to my PC and rather than increasing performance, it stops games completely :/Shaneus said:Ugh, bought an SSD and reinstalled Windows, can't get DR2 via Steam to work... keeps crashing PC completely. Items always respawn when you leave the area, with the exception of Zombrex.K2Valor said:If I lost the Leadership magazine, will it be back in its original position? I threw it somewhere and forgot where that is :\

actually there's a shitload of people in tir online on xbl. I've made 100k in the last 35 mins.bubnbob said:I'm pretty sure you just have to defeat either one to win that fight. You can play TIR online to make money - good luck finding a match at this point I imagine.
The knight boots don't do anything, but if you collect every Armor (and beard) piece, you get a bonus increase of a full health bar (Like Arthur from GnG).

Should I give TK Zombrex? Is that the best thing to do for the outcome? Because... I did.

WTF. That's dumb.eXistor said:Yes it's best, but it's actually not the canon ending. Not giving TK Zombrex is what they follow up on in Case West.
I'm not so sure about that, haha.Wellington said:You also stopped posting in NFL-Age. Steelers-GAF misses you!
Sounds like the same issue people had with the regular wireless 360 controller not working. You may have to use the same workarounds, or maybe there is an option in the motion joy drivers for compatibility or to emulate a wired controller as opposed to a wireless one.Snuggler said:So I'm playing this lovely game again on PC, it's even better than ever in 60fps and 1080p.
ANYWAYS, I'm having one small issue. I'm using my dualshock 3 with MotioninJoy. It's set up fine, it works correct in other games, but not so much in Dead Rising 2. My DS3 can control the stupid GFWL hub, if I push the home button it opens it up and I can use the controller to navigate it, but the actual game won't recognize it.
Anyone else have this issue? It seems that the GFWL hub is cock blocking my controller.
Cool, I'll do the survey when I beat the game. I just finishedNeuromancer said:Capcom has a survey up about the game, tell them what you thought!

I thought the psychopaths were too hard, also I thought the story was pretty bad (until the end, then it got interesting.)

Sounds like you are trying to shoot them when you should be climbing the nearest ladder and beating them to death.FTH said:I agree some psychopaths are tough, especially.those fucking snipers in the plaza(any tips?)
:O I didn't know you could get to them!?! Holy crap, so there are ladders for each guy? Awesome, thanks for the tip!a Master Ninja said:Sounds like you are trying to shoot them when you should be climbing the nearest ladder and beating them to death.
The difference between the console and PC versions are pretty large. Just going through the menus alone you can see the difference in how smooth the PC version is. The loading screens are still there for sure but they do go by fast. If you want someone to play co-op with, I'll be glad to destroy some zombies with ya.AEREC said:Finally got this on PC and man it makes a world of difference in playability for me.
I gave up on the 360 version of DR2, framerate and long and frequent load times just killed it for me...though I was able to overlook the load times in DR1 due to how awesome and fresh the game was.
Anyways the PC version solved both those issues (loading is still frequent but at least the loading time is greatly reduced) and now Im appreciating this game a lot more.

Damn this game is a stress inducer. I'm playing with the official game guide and I still want to ram forks in my eyes and pour vinegar up my nose.
Had to skip quite a few of the combo posters/weapon creation even in the official guide as time is so short for some quests. It's not as if I'm even wasting time, I'm going straight from point A to point B all the time. Even with the coffee/wine speed up drinks.
Just killed the psycho with the tiger (got the tiger as companion). Then had to sprint to save some old women, and honestly just made with seconds to spend. Doesn't help that she purposely draws out her shitty conversation with you before joining.
Guess the completionist in me can't just stick back and enjoy whilst some quests fail.
bubnbob said:No offense but the guide must be telling you things to do wrong. You can practically save everyone even on your first go. I don't have the guide so I don't know what it suggests. You can do the Tiger mission before giving Katey her first Zombrex, even after taking the time to deliver the first doctor lady to the safe room.
Darkshier said:If you are trying to do everything in 1 or even 2 playthroughs, you are doing it wrong. Level up chuck, learn the layout of Fortune City, earn a million dollars, and then will you be ready to hit the story mode up. Also, official game guide, doing it wrong. Chuck Greene don't play that.
Of course. That's pretty much all I did until I was around level 30. You can save your progress/experience and restart the story mode at any time. Some of the bosses you fight can be really tough unless you level up first. Just let katey die at the beginning and do the boss fights and save survivors to gain some easy xp. Also, go find all three gambling books and hit up the giant slot machine at Slot Ranch. You will make a ton of money that way.Yeah I thought about doing that.
I guess you can start the game and do NO story mode at all for 72 hours? Just muck about/level up?

Your combo cards that you have earned will carry over, as will money and zombrex. Not inventory items though. There is a lot of freedom to tackle the game how you want, so just kick back and enjoy it. And slaughter zombies, mercilessly.Awesome.
I'm torn in two minds now about what to do. I'll decide for later on haha. Taking a break from play after that 5 man rescue train I just done.
What about weapon mods I've learned/inventory, will that carry over if I restart now or is it just the experience?
