The classic Frank skin looks good, glad i'll be able to play with that. I was worried there would be some weirdness where it didn't have proper lip syncing or some stupid shit. The fact that everything is now voiced, including Otis, is also major step up. Gone Guru is still in. Survivor AI should be majorly improved.

Capcom seem to be doing all the right things and it just may be a clear upgrade over the original.

According to Capcom's recent press release (as reported on by Famitsu), the Erotica photography tag from the original Dead Rising will no longer be a thing in the Remaster. For those unfamiliar with the system, in Dead Rising, you can earn experience points known as PP (Prestige Points) through various activities, one of which is photography (you are playing as a journalist, after all).

The shots you take are awarded a certain amount of PP, and based on the subject matter, you can earn a PP bonus from one or more genre categories, such as Horror, Brutality, or Outtake. One of the categories happens to be Erotica, and this bonus is given for things like upskirt shots and photos of female characters' cleavage, belly piercings, and thongs peeping above their waistbands.

Dead Rising even has a mission in which you are tasked with taking an erotic photograph which scores over 750 PP. It is likely that this mission will be omitted from Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster along with the Erotica tag mechanism.

Yeah its essential and it makes DR1 great for me. DR1 is a roguelite. You can start over and over again and you keep your EXP, eventually you will be faster, stronger and more resilent. You can just grind enemies and let the time run out.

You need some planning to complete everything. And you need to know the layout and shortcuts. I liked it a ton, and its very replayable.

I'm not bothered by this as it's not to my taste anyway, but that news paired with the screenshot of him with a chainsaw made me laugh. Chainsaws are fine, but paparazzi shots are a big no-no!

i bought the 2006 digital version of DR1 , 2 and off the record before the 360 marketplace closure and i am also very happy with the 2016 remaster versions

Gonna skip the 2024 remaster for DR1 , i can use the $ to buy other games and i see how it goes for Dead Rising 2 Reborn in 2025/6

Just to add to his comment, these are costumes:

You get the Armor outfit, but not the Pop Star one.

And Ada is arguably as sexy as a blank piece of paper now, compared to how she was in OG.
