They also just uploaded a new livestream where they show how they added more stuff in the ishimura to make it more believable that this ship was a workplace for the people there.
 
Now this creates an definite amount on pressure on both dev teams. One of the two is going to steal the other's thunder. Callisto Protocol is probably releasing October - December of 2022. Will they hold back on the release in order to not compete with Dead Space which will definitely make more noise due to the brand name? Or will they launch the game ASAP and steal Dead Space's thunder?

Not many. It was originally slated for October 1st and foremost and was already delayed. 2nd its a new-gen game only and 3rd its a remake of an existing game/ip that does not need really new gameplay designs/systems. Let's not overcomplicate things, shall we?

Has there been anything else shown for The Callisto Protocol? Or has it just been the announce trailer? Feels like it was announced forever ago.

Exactly a Remake and yet it still got delayed. Remake or otherwise nothing is safe lately, so unless you're an insider or someone from the dev team and you're not telling us, I'll remain a skeptic.

They recently promised more news very soon. My guess is Summer Game Fest, and hopefully they'll give a release date. I'm just as excited about Callisto as I am with DS Remake.

Dead Space 1&2 are my favourite survival horror games, up there with RE and SH but I'm going in to this remake with low expectation because I just dont trust the current EA.

Dead Space 3 was the last game I bought from EA which hugely disappointing to me.
 
LOL sure it will. Look I hope it hits that date but I can't take dates that far out seriously anymore. We see over and over that the games get delayed as we get closer to it.
 
Exciting but I don't believe it. Too many delays with other games and this being a big project has me doubting it will release anytime before next summer.

Here's to hoping I'm wrong!
 
Awesome. Hoping there are lots of different suits and weapons like before so I can do multiple runs again.

Good stream. I really like how they explain enhancing the game with the new tech. Very optimistic and excited for the game
 
Nice! When it's delayed in November, I hope the actual release date is around April, so I don't have to wait too much longer to enjoy it :)
 
I still think they might make it by January. As much as I love Dead Space, it isn't nearly of the same scope as Starfield, and the assets are more or less the same throughout the game.

No, it won't.

But I'll probably play it when it does.
 
Good news it seems more realistic and scary with all that darkness in some areas, light effects and shadows need more work and I know it says work on progress.

Game can really shine just with the perfect lighting to make the atmosphere more mysterious and beautiful at same time

Same for me. I don't get this trend of remaking/remastering (don't know what this one is) games that are still perfectly playable and even can look nice.

To me that's wasted potential that could go to remake actually old or not-very-playable games.
