Horrible casting choice, if there's going to be another Naked Gun movie the main role has to be played by a proper comedian. Liam will always be known for starring in serious action flicks.

Plus it's not a good time to make the movie, you can't offend anyone in modern USA therefore you can't make Naked Gun style jokes.

Interestingly Neesan is quite a bit older than Leslie was at the time of the naked gun films. This will probably suck. I can't imagine a lot of the humor in those films will transfer over to today's more sensitive audience.

so you don't understand the concept behind the original I see... the whole joke behind most of Nielsen's roles is that he is playing most of it like a drama actor, which he was originally.
so the obvious choice would be to do the same thing again if you are staying true to the original concept of Police Squad
