Dealing with weed smokers in apartments

Yeah, the smell is awful. Luckily don't have neighbors that smoke it, but there's always someone at the park.

Not as bad as cigarette smell though.

Ex smoker and now vape fruity liquids tobacco smoke smells horrible love the smell weed though.

don't why anyone choose smoke weed over just vaping thc if readily available.

Don't know if USA has the same problem as us with most vape carts containing synthetic weed though witch is really dangerous

In my case, it's knowing what you are smoking. I can grow the plant, harvest it and dry the buds, then pick them up and smoke them. Can't do that with vaping stuff.

Oh really? I'll look into that next time I harvest. I don't vape, but it would be cool to make my own vape liquid to give it a go, just out of curiosity.

Yeah there's lot method's of extracting thc for liquid not much more complicated than making edibles in comes out stronger as your having thc at higher concentrations and and vape faster than you would smoke a spliff so you get High lot more quicker.

Tbh the guy who clearly owns a cat and has not seen a shower in about a year opposite is much worst, you know when he has been out that day, as the corridors stinks, I've actually put a complaint in about him.

I do feel a little sorry for the guy though, he is an older gentleman and he clearly can't look after himself anymore and would probably be better off with assistance in a home or something.

But the council has come and cleared his property off clutter/rubbish three times now and it has apparently cost them over £3k, so I'm not really sure why they haven't done anything with him yet.

As I don't really appreciate the stench uppercut when leaving for work or coming home from work.

Weed guy though, I haven't complained about as it's only once or twice a month, but I really do hate the smell, I just think it smells rancid.

That being said, I heard him get his backdoor smashed in, I had never heard a man squeal and moan like that before, I couldn't make eye contact with him for about a year and went out, when I realised my headset was not going to drown him out.
 
I dealt with cigarette smokers in my last apartment, and that in itself was a pain in the ass. The last thing I want to smell when I get up first in the morning, is someone's goddamn smoke. But what could I do? I mean, you can't tell them to stop. They're within their rights. I was able to eventually solve the problem, but i wasn't terribly happy with the solution.

Basically, I sealed the cracks of my two doors leading to our shared hallways with duct tape. When I would open the door, it would peel away from the frame, sticking to the door. When I closed the door, I would run my fingers along the tape, sealing it back down to the frame. Pain in the dick to do it every time, but it kept the smell out. It worked.

You may be able to achieve similar results with some kind of rubber seal or gasket you can affix to the door in a similar fashion but, if you're looking for a cheap and easy fix, duct tape will do it.

It's a disgusting smelling drug and people who smoke it are generally losers.

I'd check what the rules of the building are and try to get then evicted if there is a no drug policy.

Weed smokers? Alright, check it out. Get a couple of friends to dress up in suits and sunglasses and loiter across the street from their window for a few hours. Then get a couple of other friends to take fake pictures with their phones, in a super obvious way. Then put a note under their front door, typed, saying:

"We know. We ALL know. You guys are acting weird as hell. We've called the weed police. They have tapped your lines already. Flush your product now, or receive anal punishment,"

Works every time.
 
If that is the most annoying thing going on in your apartment complex, you have it pretty good.

We had some weird couple living above us that would make stomping and falling noises at night for long stretches. Fast, from one end of the appartment to the other like they were trying work out. It was so weird. It was also maddening. After many gentle taps on the ceiling and complaints the manager, I lost my shit and they stopped doing whatever and moved at the end of the month.



The appartment next to me smells like fish flakes for days. Luckily I can't smell it inside but walking by that window is a punch in the face. Worse than weed smell? You be the judge.

In the window with the fish flakes, there was this single mom who had a super fuckin skeezy guy (maybe baby daddy idk) who would harrass her through the door and the window. Sketch. Finally I overheard her threatening to call the cops on him so I took the liberty. He ran and they didn't get him, but caught him the next day trying to break in. This was sad because the lady and her daughter moved out right after. I sometimes wonder if that asshole was giving her some money so she could afford the appartment.

There's a guy who works on his old shitty car in the carport with tools and parts strewn all over the place. Using that noisy rattlegun n shit. Oh wait that's me.

Then there was this old serbian guy who was a huge windbag and lonely and would hang around and tell me about what a man he is the whole time I was working on said car.

Appartments are fucking annoying. That's how it is. A lil weed smell? Buy some febreeze and count your blessing.

In my experience, duplexes aren't much more expensive than apartments, so maybe try to move into one when your lease is about over. 1 neighbor is easier to deal with than 12. If you talk to them, I'd ask if they'd open a window while they smoke, or if they'd be willing to switch to vapes. When I lived in an apartment, when I'd smoke inside I'd always open the window and blow it that way so as to bother my neighbors less. It wasn't that much effort, so I'd think most people would be willing to do that. My biggest problems in apartments was noise.

Honestly so many closed minded folks in here who probably have no issue choking down a few pills from pharmacorp, it's very laughable. I didn't realise these sorts of stereotypes still existed, it's scary.

Looking for a house. Could've been in one already but I'm too lazy. These filthy fucks downstairs have motivated me. I'm retired with a family and don't have time for a dorm life atmosphere. Too old for this shit. Hopefully by Christmas I'll have my bonus room above a 2 car garage aka my space. The rest is for the family.
 
Retired with kids, so presumably not 65, yet still live in an apartment? That does not compute. Good luck with your own space, the best solution!
