I'm interested in death stranding 2 for the pure craziness that the story will be, the environments you'll transverse, and the banger music. This song absolutely slaps.

I am not playing this game until I can upgrade my television.
That desert pilgrimage scene looks so good. Massive lore dump this time.

93 Metascore.
Skillup says the game is more death stranding, so I think that critics that didn't like 1 will give it a good score. So I fear the game might get some 70 that will lower the average. Considering directors cut is 85 MC, I would be happy if on the beach gets 85+

I expect this to iterate and improve on the last entry and be much better.

I expected that with Horizon Forbidden West and was sorely disappointed.

However, both Ragnarok and Uncharted 2 were able to step up in enough ways from their original games to satisfy.

Without the Forbidden West I would be a lot less jaded. If this is a real Kojima project it will be much better than that first game. If this is filler before his Magnum Opus then it might be more of the same. Cautiously optimistic. To me, the first game is a tech demo to prove he can really make his own studio and put out a game. He did that. Now the bar is raised. He will need to release a good game this time with zero boredom.

The thing that really strikes me about that trailer is that despite the wonders on show, the stuff that really stands out to me are the little character cameo clips. It really drives home to me that despite his penchant for ridiculous overly literal names, Kojima truly loves his characters above all else.

Maybe that's his secret. Say what you want but characters in his game are rarely interchangeable in the way so many video game characters are.

Should review better than the first game as it seems to be designed more towards main stream appeal. There is a greater focus on combat and stealth ala mgs games, and that should resonate better with more reviewers.

Personally getting it day one, but doubtful I will like it more than the first one

This game , just like how I treated Stellar blade, is a game that I will not care about reviews. I remember that reviews of Ds1 was very divisive. Day 1 for me.
