As for which is more meta and weird you have to give it to the final Russo show.

The Reboot besides the weirdness of seeing Bisch and Russo running the show together had a bunch of traditional wrestling things that you'd expect from a reboot. Titles vacated, heel and face factions formed, title tournaments and the only weird thing about that was the obvious face faction were heels and the obvious heel faction were faces.

The end of the first Russo had two out of every three segments breaking Kayfabe left and right, using outside knowledge from dirt sheets to book, discussing finishes, fake shoot finishes and all the stuff you just covered. While that still happens during the reboot its like once a week as opposed to three or four times an hour.

It still amazes me that Tank Abbott is the reason he gets demoted and a week after he comes back David Arquette is champion. Tank Abbott while still an awful idea at least looks like someone who could belong in a wrestling ring.

The reboot show was 100% booked based on dirt sheet stuff and SHOOTS. 100%. But it was entertaining. The 12/20/99 Nitro was that, but for an extra hour and completely the opposite of entertaining. It was painful to watch.

If one actually goes back to look at those 11 and 8 WWE title reigns by Cena and Orton, you'd find a crap ton of them are short, pathetic reigns during hot potato times. Cena only really had like two or three long reigns, the rest were all short. Orton's first TWO title reigns happened in the same night.
