But Magnus is always hyped up as "the future" and a "rising star" but i think he's just average. Like, he's the future because he's the youngest guy there

I look at it this way... he's somebody new for it, instead of the same old.

I haven't watched TNA since BFG, so I wouldn't know about
the Dixie's hand-picked champ stuff. But Magnus is always hyped up as "the future" and a "rising star" but i think he's just average. Like, he's the future because he's the youngest guy there

Whenever I think of
Magnus, I can't help but think that he's getting the push that Nigel McGuinness should have got if it weren't for unfortunate circumstances.

It probably will happen but just be careful of what you hear from Konnan. Not always the most reliable source. Then again I don't think CMLL wants Cara/Mistico back anytime soon because he left on bad terms.

Still, Konnan being right about anything is hilarious

Why d'you have to post that trailer? Look what you made me do.

Will be the first non-house show I've ever been to and my first trip to the Tokyo Dome, woooo!

You understand that there are people here who hate you now and wish to perform some bit of magic which allows them to swap bodies with you, right?

Are those We The People don't tread on me track jackets the Real Americans wore on Raw available for sale? I would wear one of those.

I'm leaving open the possibility that there won't be one unified champion and they pull that BS 'each guy grabs a belt' finish.

Well they spent all of Raw drilling it into everyone's heads that there will be one unified champion, but I still don't trust them

Marvel

could never
Can't wait to see TLC and watch how WWE handle this new Unified idea. Why they can't just called it the Undisputed WWE Champion I'll never understand :/

Because the WWE Championship is already the Undisputed Championship.

Oddly enough, the "history" stuff they did where they called the WHC the belt "Flair" had and the WWE one the belt "Hogan" held is also wrong, as they were already unified by Jericho and the WWE title therefor has both the NWA/WCW history and WWE history behind it.

The current WHC Big Gold Belt legacy is literally Triple H being handed a belt by Bischof in 2002 and going from there.

...and Triple H.

Edit:

Actually, I think the way they look at the current big gold is them re-instating the old title instead of creating a new title.

Eva Marie seems like a terrible person, even when she's not being portrayed as the heel on the show. And when it comes to the Bellas, how can one twin be so much more attractive (looks and personality) than the other? I had to lol at the job squad being the only WWE presence at the wedding.

My least favorite thing about the show is how they make the audio extra loud when coming back from a break to get your attention.

Also, the WHC has the legacies of the IC/US/Hardcore/European championships built in to it.

What a ridiculous situation that Cena and Orton are fighting for the belt when Bryan accidentally won clean against both in the abandoned storyline of the autumn. I remember the Night of Champions match being 100% clean until the fast count, and then Orton stayed down for long enough to do a five count anyway.

Edit: This is possibly a Smackdown spoiler although it doesn't tie into the storyline of the show:

Figure Four claims Christian is going to be cleared for competition this month... so he was actually injured? I swear everywhere has it written down as a storyline injury.

Actual Smackdown spoilers:

Apparently the Bryan/Orton match comes about in the first place because Bryan says he deserves a title shot. This is actually great!

I thought he had a concussion and then was written off with a story injury. Regardless, if you're only on Superstars and Main Event, does that even count as a return?

AJ's on commentary.

AJ on commentary is always gold, shame King isn't on the team at Smackdown, but I'll settle for some trash talk towards JBL I guess.

Total Divas is so wacky. Cameron clearly shoved her ass right into Nattie's bladder on purpose to make her pee. Do you realize that some day, probably in the next 2 years, we'll get a Kayfabe Memories/RF Video Total Divas shoot video/

Dammit that actually makes sense.

Who's the chick in the middle?

Alexa Bliss (a pornstar name if I ever heard one), she's a gymnist/fitness model they signed in the summer. She's the grand height of 5'1, even shorter than AJ.

In the leaked NXT promos, she showed a lot more personality than the other models they signed, so I hope she picks up the wrestling well. If you're a bland sort of personality on NXT, you don't tend to get over.

Yeah this should be the Smackdown where they completely kill a tag team division that was starting to bud. Axel/Ryback over the Rhodes and Big Show/Mysterio over The Real Americans? At least the Punk/Ambrose and Bryan/Orton matches should be decent.

I have to kind of lol at the fact they put the WHC on Cena and he hasn't been on Smackdown in weeks. Punk has been showing up more, though.

I realized that all the stupid decisions WWE has been making KINDA make sense in a way.

If they really have been planning to merge the belts for awhile,

They are ABSOLUTELY full of shit in this regard. If this was true and they have planned to merge the belts like this, then why did it rely on a back-sooner-than-planned John Cena and his WHC reign, why does it have three weeks build (including a Slammies show) with no foreshadowing whatsoever, and why is it taking place on a B-show PPV that is often the lowest drawing buyrate of the year?

Why not even the Royal Rumble, the second biggest PPV of the year? Because they never intended on unifying the belts, they just wanted a boost to a low drawing PPV that was having next to no build. Look at their wording when they announced it, they avoided any commitment to saying it would be one belt, just that both belts would be above the ring, easy to have both guys retain or switch belts.

Sure, NOW they're pushing a unification hard, but that's because pretty much everyone called a screwjob or bullshit finish, on account of their last five PPVs having them. I'm also not convinced they aren't still doing a bullshit finish but are trying to make people think there won't be by pushing the "ONE CHAMPION ONLY" line so much. Like they think the "swap or retain the belts" will be a shocking and amazing ending if they guarantee it won't happen.

I wonder if they will unify the US/IC titles. It's 2001 all over again! Though in recent years the US title has been more of a launchpad for future champs than the IC title. Miz and Bryan had pretty notable runs with the US belt before becoming champions, and Ambrose and Cesaro are getting a lot of attention. Not to mention Cena's midcard run was with this belt. The past IC title champs have been a who's who of disappointments such as Barrett, Axel, Jackson, McIntyre, Morrison with random former champion title reigns like Show, Christian, shell of Miz etc.

^ Forkball, tons of guys have had midcard runs. Kofi is a 7-time US/IC champ! Totally forgot Ambrose is the US champ. He won it in May. I can't recall any notable feuds they've put him with. They teased something with Ziggler but dropped it.

As for the TLC PPV, yeah it's a B-level, but they did get Jericho the straps on Vengeance in 2001. MitB and Elimination Chamber are also B-level and they suppoesdly carry big importance in regards to titles, so seems like they're simply trying to improve the buyrate. Either way, they're rushing it.

Further, I joked before about the titles being unified between Cena and Orton and it's pretty disheartening to see it unfold. If anything, this was a chance for a new star to rise and get into the main event. Daniel Bryan? Maybe, but they had that opportunity after SummerSlam and seemed to not have any clue what to do. Plenty of guys right now are just fiddling in the midcard or having no direction, i.e. Del Rio who has the same character since 2011, Big Show who they were pushing, and then stopped, Ryback who gets pushed then disappears only to come back in another feud against a top level guy (loses it as well!), and Mark Henry although he's oft-injured. None of them make sense due to the horrible booking put on them, but it's just pathetic that there's nobody else they seem to want to push ahead and actual get people to care about, instead of the same main event picture we've seen years ago non-stop.

Elimination Chamber is one of the best drawing B-shows, if I recall. Also, doing it at a random B-show in 2001 was a mistake, and I'm sure they know that. This should be at least a major PPV, if not a WM.
No I don't want Orton/Cena at WM, I mean that I don't buy that they're actually unifying the titles yet.

All they decided on Daniel Bryan was Vince not seeing him as a top guy he wanted. Not whether Bryan was over, or popular, or making money, or doing anything to do with the actual audience of the show that pays for everything. He is too short for Vince's personal tastes of what he likes to see, and that's that. They're not in the business of making a show that people want to see and pay for, in order to make money, anymore. Now they're in the business of making whatever show Vince wants to see. If you don't like it? Too bad, he's doing it anyway and telling the commentary to pretend you all love it, and editing the crowd reactions on the video recaps.

John Cena should freshen up his look a bit. Maybe he can grow a giant beard. He also needs a new catchphrase. Something like YEAH or YAY.

LOL at the SD spoilers
looks like Orton defeated Bryan, and it was a clean defeat.

Also TNA champion spoilers
they gave the belt to Magnus, this should be interesting.

For anyone wondering why
the new champion Magnus
has been defending TNA online so much, there you go.

Probably nothing, just a tweet that he supposedly did.

EDIT: Hey, Eve's gonna be on Raw next week. I might tune in for that.

You're going to watch one of the traditionally worst Raw's of the year. Out of all the Raw's to watch. You pick this one.

Just prepare yourself.
