That's how I do them, yep. Just haven't managed Pipeline yet, it's tricky.
I use Prospector and pulse grenades in the other rooms. Pipeline is just too big for that to work.

Yes lets compare destiny 2 to destiny year 1
Working as intended.
it feels like a fucking joke. I didnt play the game to say look at me. I played for the fucking loot. I played to have cool op guns in hard activities cause I earned it. Theres no reason to play nowIt really is. Bungie's new philosophy indicates that "Prestige" modes from NF to raid are optional, just an addition for people who seeks harder challenge and want to look cool and badass among other players. Unlike "Heroic" raids before which used to be one of the few ways to access highest light level gear, and of course to get the weapons that are not available for the Normal mode.
I don't know how I feel toward this new approach.
No quite the contrary. I was poking fun at deku for mentioning year 1 rng and comparing it to destiny 2 gear philosophy. No fucking middle ground homogenize the entire game. Are you literally asking for #Forever29 back?
Grave I need you again. It didnt save or whatever. Maybe make me leader when we get there?
Logging in... Again!
I think we have to underbelly aqueduct the encounter, and you die in the pools to get checkpoint no?
That's what I been told. So like we have to go into the sewers where IT is. I'll follow.

Destiny 2 is harder than Destiny 1. Nightfalls have timers. There's a prestige difficulty. Flawless doesn't get Mercy anymore. The Raid has a Prestige mode for the real try-hards. But the beauty is that it's only as difficult as you want it to be. The game is still very rewarding at whatever difficulty you play at. And if you do the hard stuff, you get a second chance at loot and to look awesome for your trouble.
I really like it. Remember before Destiny ever launched and Luke was talking about Nightfalls as this epic challenging thing? And remember how Nightfalls turned out? First a cheese filled slow grinder and then becoming a joke for people? I ran 6 Nightfalls in all of Year 3 and that was because other people were asking for help. Now Nightfalls are challenging and the Prestige Nightfall is something to work for.
The same thing with the raid. Normal mode was disposable, only worthwhile until Hard Mode came out. It split the community. And soon enough Hard Mode was super-easy as it became solved. Even Challenge Mode became easy enough that people were asking for challenging things to do. Prestige Raid streamlines the whole thing. The raid is the raid. (I'm sure it'll be where Challenges live, rather than Prestige.) Prestige is there for those who want a challenge. And like going Flawless in Trials, the rewards can ever only be Cosmetic. Can you imagine the salt that would come from the Lighthouse giving God-tier guns? Same for if the Prestige Raid did it.
You can have super-challenging content w/ cosmetic rewards or gameplay altering rewards with doable content, because as soon as you put something god-tier in an activity it becomes "required". Tons of games do the cosmetic rewards for end game challenges, like Overwatch's Golden Guns or Diablo 3's Set Dungeons or Titanfall 2's Respawning.
Grave made an exciting point, that now, the normal raid still has value in that it can be used for practice. I really like that. Prestige raid isn't going anywhere. It's something to put together a team for and to work at.

Again, as for the Trials flawless rewards, they came with extras. Remember adept weapons? They came with elements while normal versions did not? Even later on flawless weapons always came with additional perks. Stop making the comparison.
They also showered you with extra loot while prestige mode does not. You can do almost the full prestige mode and come away with it with mostly tokens to buy normal mode gear. Sounds satisfying.
I honestly just want new things that aren't just reskins.

Supposedly Mananan and Antiope are good as well, but they are not real.
I absolutely will not. Flawless rewards are designed to be mostly cosmetic. Derek Carroll explicitly said that and that the perks were never meant to be anything game changing. I didn't run Adept weapons for all of Year 2 Trials because I didn't need to. And you can say they came with elements, but so did raid weapons, and then both stopped doing that, so that's not a good argument either.
Flawless = Cosmetic. End of story.
Flawless showers you with normal loot, sure, but you get 1 armor piece for going flawless. Sounds like exactly what Prestige is doing when you factor in Tokens. Cash in the tokens to get showered with normal loot and get 1-2 armor pieces per week. ¯\_(ツ_/¯
Everything mentioned about the Trials weapons were the opposite of cosmetic. Cosmetic means a new paint job. Elements were game changing back in the day when a specific few primaries had them. If you considered the perks bad, that's fine, but they were different. You are wrong about them being cosmetic.
When I mentioned getting all the loot from Trials, I meant D1. You got a guaranteed weapon (which was great because it was different, as I mentioned already), piece of armor, and a high chance at an exotic for going flawless. Simply for getting there. The prestige raid does not offer that in any way. The tokens get you normal mode loot and as far as I could tell, you don't get another set of keys for doing the prestige mode.
Citation needed.
Live team is just responsible for live events & April Update. Not full product releases. And every live release was pooped on by the community at the time. The lead for Rise of Iron was the same guy who headed House of Wolves, not a live team member.
And that chart is pure bs, counting only things that are missing & none of the stuff that D2 added. Newsflash, D2 is Not D1 Year 4. They very clearly wanted wanted to reset things & they did. I like the changes they made. Theres stuff that needs improvement, but Im happy with D2 & glad its not D1.5.
I'm literally quoting the Designer of Trials in saying that rewards are primarily cosmetic, but you do you. ¯\_(ツ_/¯
I'm comparing Apples to Apples by comparing Flawless Trials rewards in D2 (which no one is complaining about) and Prestige Raid Rewards in D2. ¯\_(ツ_/¯

I'm kind of amazed at the conversation we're having that we're "out of content". Let's look at the D2 roadmap so far:
Every week or so there's been a new activity that dropped with new loot, new activities and half the time a new PvP map. (For reference, for Years 2 & 3, we only got 1 PvP map "live"). Further, there's this whole "season" thing which looks to be resetting soon, as there's an announcement coming soon at TwitchCon.
I really wish there was something to play for too. In the first couple weeks, I had about 20-30 people on my friends list constantly playing. I was right there with em. Now when I load it up? 3 or 4 tops. That's a MASSIVE drop off. The friends I usually raid with don't even seem interested to try prestige raid. We didn't even raid on reset like we normally do in the past couple weeks.
Destiny 2 is a LOOT shooter that I felt its biggest problem was being short on content, now it's also short on loot. What a drag. I'm not even playing much anymore because everyone else left. I really gave it a shot and it's horribly disappointing. I'm glad some of you still seem pleased with it, but you have to acknowledge there's a huge problem here. Bungie screwed up.
Anyone need one for a prestige nightfall? Or even reg nightfall.
FRs sent.

Does anybody have a Prestige Calus checkpoint on PS4??

... Why did I randomly get a single Dead Orbit token at the end of the Nightfall?
