Destiny - AngryJoe's Post-Review Discussion

Most of people who complain on the game cannot even finish the raid on normal.

Their experience and my experience in this game are completely different.

I've finished the raid twice, going for the third time this weekend. And the Raid is by far the best part of the game. That doesn't change the fact I have so many complaints about the lack of content and balancing and the RNG system.

The baffling inability to talk to anyone you don't already know, meaning you either have to run around in silence, or keep pausing the game trying to add every player you see to your fireteam was the biggest turn off for me. As Joe points out, it's like they heard from someone what an MMO was like and made one, without actually knowing what makes them fun.

I've already traded it in in any case. The gunplay was great but that wasn't enough to keep me from being bored to tears well before I finished the "story"

the faults that I find in Destiny:

To much repetitive missions stuff. Add more content bungie.

No matchmaking in weekly, daily and VoG. STUPID!

Loot drops are still fucked, but I have learnt look past this and rely on getting my loot from nightfall/weekly and VoG.

I also feel that there is to much cruciable factions and nothing for the PVE guy. we are stuck with vanguard.

42 minute video? i used to like angry joe but his videos are ridiculous

I can watch an episode of a good show in the time it takes to watch one of his videos, which have no reason to even be that long to begin with

41 minutes? I watch Spoony videos, I laugh at 41 minutes!

I'm 29. I finished the raid. Care to adjust your totally misinformed post?

Don't even get me started on potentially receiving a shader or ascendant items as your raid drop. It's terrible.

I thought he/she was saying that grinding can be fun but the way it's done in Destiny isn't as there isn't sufficient rewards to entice you to keep going. I'm not sure where you got 'You can't have fun in any way I don't like' from.

Sounded to me like he/she's just pushing their opinion as fact like a billion other posts on the Internet.

If you enjoy eating the same bowl of store brand vanilla ice cream again and again, it's not like I can make you stop doing it or enjoying it. What you like is what you like. My statement is not as, uh, unbending as you've made it out to be.

Well didn't expect that kind of response. What a thing to wake up to :/

It seems you can't grasp the concept that someone's opinion can differ from your own. For example, sticking with your ice cream theme, some people enjoy mint choc chip. Personally I don't like it but I don't claim mint chic chop is disgusting, period. Nobody else may like mint choc chip.

wow that was condescending

Yes, yes it was and totally uncalled for. I like this forum and this is the first time I've been replied to in this manner. I don't understand the hostility but I accepted it as inevitable and will hopefully continue posting happily as I near my 300th :)

I don't really care for people misrepresenting the content of my posts. I'm also not sure how else to address people who defend and damage control Destiny's bland campaign, awful progression and repeated content. They're allowed to enjoy it as much as others are allowed to deride it. There's a lot there to potentially dislike.

You asserted your opinion as fact and I called it out, you chose to deal with that in a disrespectful manner. It's obvious that you are determined to shit on Destiny as much as you can and while it's your right to hold and express such opinions, please allow others the room to disagree and enjoy the game for what it is. Thanks.

Where did I misinform ?

I said most of players not all of players.

Jesus, what the hell were you thinking Bungie? The social aspect of this game is shit! Pure and simple. There's so many awful design choices, but the worst thing for me is the total lack of a social implementation into the game.

Gonna sell it. It can get better with patches and dlc, I really hope it does and when it does, I'll buy it again, but for now, I can't even look at it.

It doesn't take a journalist to realize that something happened mid development which left content cut. Even if you didn't know that the lead writer left and you just play the game and try to put the pieces of the story together, you'd know something went really wrong. As far what happened, only the internal people know, but we can assume there was some kind of pressure by acivision to release it earlier than bungie was probably ready to.

What's weird is its such a polished game. There are very few bugs or glitches.
