I have to agree that the aim-assist is very annoying especially with groups of enemies clustered together. I've already had plenty of times where I am shooting an enemy in the head and then my cross hairs get pulled away for other enemies crossing over my line of sight. The FOV should be opened up a little too as it feels like I'm playing with blinders on.

The bullet sponge enemies seem to be a little less spongey this go around but I have yet to fight a walker. I know they are supposed to be tanks that take a lot of damage but I just got bored shooting their legs for so long in the alpha.

I know they desperately wanted to inject some star power into this game with Dinklage, but it really would have worked better if they hired a 'regular' professional voice actor.

Dinklage just sounds bored, uninspired and unconvincing. The robot effects do very little to change that.
Imagine a professional voiceactor delivering a GlaDOS- or Wheatly-like narration or an actual semi-convincing voiceover. It would have improved the game tenfold.

Hiring Dinklage was a bad idea, his performance in GoT is legendary, but he just doesn't fit here at all.

He sounds great.

Beta cap is 8.

Do you have a green handcannon and what upgrades do you have on it?

Haven't found one in the beta, but in the alpha I had one. Had 3 diff. sights you could unlock and an upgrade that boosted reload speed if I got a kill with the last bullet. I think it did 59 dmg? It was awesome.

I haven't even seen a green hand cannon yet in the beta.

I did not know you could kill allies with your Sparrow.

Also be careful if you use a heavy weapon to destroy a vehicle with a party members close. They will die :/

Guys you do realize it's a beta right? Submit feedback to Bungie. I'm definitely mentioning the assault rifle op nature to balance out the other weapons. You could suggest to tone down aim assist.

I quite like it actually. He's sort of a sassy ghost. It reminds me of the AI voiceovers we used to see in scifi cartoons and movies in the 80s. It certainly doesn't bother me and I've listened to his lines with a bit of a smirk from time to time to tell the truth.

They kept the originals Ghost's dialogues in the french translation. Including "That Wizard came from the Moon".

I should switch the game to english langage.

I am really having a hard time deciding between classes. Since there are no class specific weapons, I really cannot make up my mind. That Warlock blink seems insanely promising, but so does the triple jump of the Hunter. The tanky abilities of the Titan are also neat. >.<

I'm struggling with this too. I feel like the Titan's shield would be useful for harder content (and they'll be rare compared to the other two) and while Warlock's blink is useful in a firefight, he can't reach heights like the other two.

Played some yesterday and I really like it. Haven't tried PvP yet but have played a tiny bit of Co-op. Seems like the type of thing best with friends.
I almost like it the other way: you're on your own and come across some strangers in a battle, help them out, then wave and move on.

I'd be curious to know what the voice direction was like though. I do think some of the delivery sounds a little bland, and it definitely does not come close to his work in GoT. But that's also a different show, a different character, and was directed a certain way. Overall I like his performance. I think it has just enough personality in it while still remaining robotic. It's not as cartoon-ish as GLaDOS.

I got one as a reward after completing the Strike

Dinklage sounds much better compared to Alpha. What's the gun in MP with insta-death that laser shot? That thing is mad annoying!

My first impressions are that the game has a very interesting concept and infrastructure but the content is quite dull at this point.

But MMOs and MMO-esques can't really be judged at beta or even in the first weeks of launch. I am cautiously optimistic that I will someday eagerly spend hundreds of hours in this universe.

Its a different characterisation of an AI but I wouldnt call it "uninspired". I actually like that he keeps things more maudlin. Im not sure what you want his choice to convince you of? As sentient inhuman floating spaceballs go I think the voice fits. It needed the effects though which explains why his original readings were so dry. He was most likely instructed about the flange filter being applied. Now I just need to get through work to level up my titan.... beta has its hooks in deep!

Can someone explain how warlock jet pack work for me ?

Can it fly higher ?

When I use it it always fly down to the ground.

A quick double tap + hold sends you floating high up, it's all about the timing.

If you press the jump button a little later, you can get a horizontal glide going.

Are there really only two maps available right now? My party only played on Venus & The Moon in 10-15 matches, & I know that there were supposed to be 4 available.
We were baffled at the sheer lack of new content in the beta compared to the alpha, but then again I haven't played through all of the campaign stuff yet.

Played through the first mission and explored the hub last night. I still have no idea what Destiny is, but I look forward to finding out in 8 agonizing hours.

I was wondering this too, I still haven't even seen Rusted Lands or Blind Watch after 20+ games.

the beta kinda feels like the alpha to me tbh, but i think that's due to the same 8 level cap and the fact that there's only 2 maps as well

duckroll abandoned me :O

:p Fun couple of games. It's like PSO, with shootbang and on an open-ish world. I don't understand what so hard to understand about this (as game media put it), it's what it always looked like to me. It also looks a lot like Borderlands, and I never even played that game.

It's fun and it's pretty, even on PS3, controls are snappy and responsive. I could see myself wasting many hours here, but maybe if I had a PS4. As usual for a PS3 game, everyone's mute. One thing that I find strange is that the GUI is clearly made for a mouse. And the story is dumb/non-existent. It really reminds me so much of PSO. :p

Hey i just realised the french voice over is still in the alpha stage. No robotic effect and the "wizard from the moon" line is still here.

Couldn't figure out how to change the language in the beta.

Change the language of your PS4 in System Settings. The game will then download the English audio. You will also lose the French menus and subtitles :(
