I think Bungie needs to fix the lightning on the models in the companion app. Waaay too dark, the models look so much different from the in game models due to this.

I was just playing round with the companion app, turns out if you dig into the menus they fully render your character in 3d on it and you can spin your character round by swiping it, great detail for this sort of thing... now why not have this in the game?

So companion app will see the character as I'm making it once it is made?

if it's once it is made..who gives a shit? I can spin the camera once I"m in game. :/

I made a grave mistake selling my AR. I prefer Scout Rifle for PvE encounters but AR is much better for me in Crucible.
I like having the AR in crucible better as well. I have an amazing Cydonia AR but of course its a level 9 weapon.

I think in the PVE you find encypted engrams for weapons based on what kind of weapon you are using most of the time. When I was using a scout rifle I found a lot of scout rifle engrams when I wanted to find a nice AR, but then when I started to use the AR more often I started to find more AR engrams.

He's right though. There is no situation where you will unload a full clip into someone and they won't die, barring connection issues.

Yeah, that that just sounded like a complaint/excuse your average sore loser would make.
sorry guy I mean this in the least offensive way possible :p
Either you didn't actually unload a full clip onto him, or there were connection issues. Also, he was probably using a shotgun or pulse rifle of some sort.

I really like the PVE so far, but the one match in multiplayer (moon level) I played was just ok. It feels like a weird mix of an FPS and an MMO battleground. It's weird being able to go on a mount and switch weapons at any time.

Also, yeah, just like battlegrounds in WoW or something, I get one shotted a bunch.

I still enjoyed the PVP, but it's not as good as Bungie's past multiplayer efforts (based on first impression, I'll try it more, hopefully see the other maps).

Played on Venus, the multiplayer is actually pretty good, I think it's growing on me. Also didn't notice much one shotting in my second match.

Having a good time with it so far.

The reactions have been a little too hyperbolic for me.

It's definitely a Bungie game. You can tell within two minutes of picking it up that it was made by the people that made Halo.

It feels like Halo, but it's not the second coming. Maybe just Sony fans who have never played a Bungie game before, but it's a little ridiculous to throw around the praise that it's getting based on a tiny slice of the overall game.

PVP seems fun, but nothing jaw dropping. After playing the alpha and now the beta, it's the campaign and co-op that has me most excited. I really hope it's meaningful.

Vehicles and turrets are too powerful and need to be adjusted. Some of the weapon sounds need work as well. There just isn't enough impact when using them.

I think it will have a decent sized player base, but it's not going to be huge in terms of long term success. Not that it won't sell well, it definitely will, but it won't have legs and will in no way make the kind of impact that Halo did all those years ago. Even Halo is pretty much dead at this point. By the time COD rolls around, it will end up crushing Destiny on all platforms in number of players.

my cake, fuck off
I don't give a shit about the cutscenes because I can fuck around in my inventory while they are playing. I wish every game had this feature.

The Ghost character feels like they wanted Cortana-like character in the game without making it seem like they wanted a Cortana like character in the game...

When it would be just been better to have a Cortana rip off in the game. I dislike Dinklage in the game.

Pretty much this. Everytime my Ghost spoke, I was just wishing it was Cortana.

I miss the sass. The Ghost character as written plays everything straight. I know everyone is blaming Dinklage, but really look at the dialog he was given. Its missing the sarcastic wit that made Cortana so memorable. The Ghost is literally just there to give out information and so far, has failed to add any personal insight.

The "full clip" part was an exaggeration, but it definitely feels like I put in enough to kill a person and they wont die. I think there is a problem with the netcode. It reminds me of BF4, but obviously not that extremely bad. There have been times where I have kills register after I have even died. Like I shoot an enemy in the face with a shotgun, I get killed by them, then the kill registers. I dont use it, but my friend said with the throwing knife thingy, it sometimes takes a second for a hit to register after it makes contact.

I also just dont think the game balances very well with everyone keeping their own unique loot, even though they say it does

JetBlackPanda's avatar just made me realize that the Traveler looks like the Death Star. Ominous.

It's obvious to me that maybe it's too good to be true. Unless Bungie decides to stick to the story that it's an all powerful positive entity.

How do you guys feel about the family of Auto Rifles with big magazines and super high fire rate? I found one last night and it seemed borderline unusable. Are there class skills or gear affixes that make them less unwieldy?

Enough of us have mentioned it where they'll take notice. If not once they announce how to give feedback I'm sure plenty of others will mention it.

I feel like I was owning kids who used the AR with one of my handcannons. I think the AR is just easier to play with where the other guns there stats (reload, impact, etc) really matters.

i got an amazing scoped scout rifle drop it has 4 skills on it, I've already unlocked laser sight and increased stability while firing, about to unlock the damage upgrade

i love how you get attached to weapons in this game
i know i'll outgrow it, but i'll toss it in the vault and my hunter will get good use out of it down the road

In case there is still long loading in destiny getting an SSD totally cures that. No more long loading at all. It's not even perceivable.
