Anyone have any recommendations for a headphone/mic for use with the PS4 that is similar to the packaged-in Xbox360/Xbox One headsets? Ideally I want something that only covers one ear so I can pipe chat audio to the headphones and still hear TV game audio clearly.

No preference for wired/wireless, I just want something relatively cheap and not necessarily audiophile worthy.​

I order the Tritton Kainek mono headset. It gets here today so i'll try to post tonight after getting in some gametime.

Its available as a headset for PS4, or headset with chat adapter for Xbox One. Since I already have the Xbox One chat adapter, my guess is i can use the PS4 version for both consoles.

So when i was playing i randomly encountered other guardians, was there a way to talk to them? i feel like this game suffers from not being on PC, there's no chat bar or anything

Several free to play games on the ps4 have chat windows and ps4 supports keyboards, so its not a limitation on the console's part. Its up to the developer. Personally I'd rather talk than type most of the time, but its good to have both options. I can't say 100% (maybe someone can) if you can't talk with randoms you encounter , if they are not part of your fireteam. If so, maybe they are wanting that feeling kind of like Journey?? Not sure.

I feel like I was owning kids who used the AR with one of my handcannons. I think the AR is just easier to play with where the other guns there stats (reload, impact, etc) really matters.

Maybe once you find a decent hand cannon but until then?

I understand there are outliers but the overwhelming majority of people I've talked to seem to agree assault rifle needs to be toned down in damage as it makes most other primary weapons useless.

Considering it's beta I think the matchmaking might be a bit off because the guys we were facing definitely had bigger shields and more powerful weapons. I'm not too bothered anyway, I've learned my lesson, stick to PVE where I belong ha.

It's obvious to me that maybe it's too good to be true. Unless Bungie decides to stick to the story that it's an all powerful positive entity.

You could also think of it as a Big Dumb Object that's not really good or evil per se, but it has a purpose that's not readily apparent to small, short-lived creatures like us.

It also seems kind of like a giant animal that has a symbiotic relationship with civilizations, and uses the Ghosts and Guardians as a natural defense mechanism or immune system to fight back against whatever's hurting it.

After playing Destiny finally, all I can say is ouch. Bungie really just fucked Microsoft. I feel like they just stole Halo back. I really don't see myself picking Halo 5 by 343 over Destiny. Destiny is more like Halo than Halo is now.

Also, by the way, not to start a war but how the fuck did people who played both this and Titanfall anoint Titanfall the king of new gen shooters? It seems pretty clear with the available feature sets of both games being exposed now which one is clearly superior in terms of legs.

This happens every 10 minutes, at least. Since I've downloaded the beta. I have restarted/reset my router, and nothing fixes it. I don't see anyone else having this issue so I'm wondering what the fuck is going on.

Am I alone here?

This was happening to me as well. When I bypass my router and plug the PS4 directly into my modem, it works fine. So I assume Bungie's servers have an issue with my router.

Crucible, to the right of Earth on the map. You may not have unlocked it yet.

It should show up as "CRUCIBLE" to the right of tower / earth. If you don't see it you haven't progressed far enough in the story / leveling yet.

Oh ok, I'm at level 4. Any idea which rank will unlock it?

I love Titanfall and I also love this. While I agree that Destiny seems like a much a meatier game, they're aiming for very different things.

Yeah, i had to switch to assault rifle to be competitive. Its possible / likely i just suck, but i was getting wrecked using my more powerful scout rifle, but instantly started doing fine when i switch to a basic assault rifle.

The TTK is surprisingly low for this game and the assault rifle just chews through people faster then i can cap off shots with the scout rifle.

I've never played Titanfall but they probably named it king because you could pull yourself up on a ledge lol. I really like Destiny I just wish my Guardian would reach out and grab the ledge if I'm close to making the jump.

One: This is the first game ever where i actually hate bullet sponge enemies. Meaning i hate every single enemy in the game. Oh and the AI is fucking dumb.
Two: This game keeps crashing my internet, upon finishing a mission and starting a new one, my internet cuts off. It might be a coincidence of course... but damn odd one.

It's not really fucking Microsoft. They wanted control of their own IP and more freedom. Microsoft didn't give that. They had a great relationship but when it was time to break it off they said their goodbyes.

I disagree strongly. It might not be Halo but they stole the heart and soul and feel of halo. Even some of the grunt chatter seems almost the same. It really does seem like what Halo should of been to me.

Maybe I'm crazy. This beta was the best Halo I've played since reach.

Bungie has kind of hinted that they may add content as the beta goes along. That makes me think they might unlock that Moon mission at some point. Maybe after the severs go down and come back up? I just don't know why you would have it available on the map otherwise.

I don't think it has to do with your specific router usage. I'm running off of a linksys router via TWC. Tried playing yesterday via wireless connection through my console and I kept getting disconnected as well. I switched it up and connected it through a ethernet cable and it's been working perfectly fine now.

You won't unless you invite and/or join them in a Fire-team. I really hope Bungie changes this in the real game. If I join a random strike or pvp match, let all mics be heard and I can mute individuals if I choose.

That's because casual chat isn't turned on. You'd have to be in a fireteam. Weird decision by Bungie but I would've loved a proximity chat with randoms.
