Applied to join DestinyGAF.
GT/PSNid/bnet name are all the same as my name here.
Don't rule PvE enemies out, they can be a hand-full in Legendary difficulty.Imru al-Qays;120458206 said:Agility is run and jump speed? That seems like it would be more useful in PvP than in PvE, where the enemies presumably have better aim?
Who is running the gamertag DestinyGAF?
Only Control in the Beta. But this image shows a lot, if not all, of the PVP modes in the game.

I redeemed my preorder code on the site, and this is what's showing up. Is this right?

I have to wait till the 18th to get my code?
Applied to the clan to join in the fun. ^^
PSN: SpaceKathryn
Bungie: SpaceKat
Can't wait for the beta to start!
What region are you in? I know that says Americas but maybe it's a timezone thing?
Could we please change the name DestinyGAF to simply GAF? The tag is too long and we all know what game we are playing. If we can't change it, I can live with it.

In Alpha at least, it showed up as DGAF under people's names, which I think is wonderful because of the implication.
It seems that you will get 3 download keys for the Destiny beta.
Platform selection for the Beta is now available! Each code will grant you 3 download keys, enough to field a full Fireteam on the console of your choosing! Need help? Click Here!
Sadly, when I want to redeem my PS4 key for Europe it doesn't let me saying that it will be available on July 17th.

Alright, so it's time to speculate:
![]()
Control: We already know this one. Capture and defend 3 zones to win.
Rumble: Rumble is traditionally Bungie's word for FFA, and what better way to represent that than with 3 swords (for 3 classes) crossing?
Lockdown A circle around a sword could represent a lock. This could be a 1-sided offense-defense kind of gametype, or it could be similar to Control, only with one zone to hold.
Skirmish: Sounds like a form of Capture the Flag.
Team: Instead of the swords crossing, they seem to be lined up, as if to signify that they're on the same side. Basically the Slayer/Team Deatchmatch game mode. Pure carnage.
Salvage: From the achievement's list, Salvage appears to be a gamemode where you also capture points. With a name like that though, it could be one of several things. The first thing that comes to mind is a "kill confirmed" kind of game where you have to collect the other person's Ghost for the point to count, but that seems a bit stretched. Another possibility could be a kind of Search and Destroy mode. Hell, this could also be the "Oddball" variant where players have to hold onto an object for a period of time. If that's the case, it'd lean towards another FFA gametype as well. Either way, players will be scrambling about the maps.

Salvage could possibly be an Oddball variant, or Headhunter. Maybe Lockdown is an Invasion variant, and Skirmish a Stockpile variant? I only have limited experience with Halo MP (only played CE and 2), but am reading a wiki now and looking at the game types
Yeah we have to wait til the 18th, because of timezones. And going Xbox is definitely not "beneficial"I think Aus/NZ GAF are all getting 18th showing up, since we run tings' a day a head round these ways.
Quite odd how PS4 is regions specific, whilst Xbox One is global.... I wonder if that's to do with the Azure servers? If it is... it could be beneficial for Aus/NZ GAF'ers to go X1 (but I really don't want to).
The 18th is when the beta starts in AU. Also I hope you have a US PS account or you'll be disappointed (AU accounts go under Europe).
I want to hear Lance Reddick sending me orders and updates through radio again
This fucking voice, guys
Yes you can. This works with anything you buy from another region's PSN, provided the login/account remains on the console. If you delete the login/account from the console, access to the content goes too.Could I download from my US account, and play with my AU one?
I did this with the alpha.
I hear you, I could listen to his voice forever! Such a calm and pleasant voice he has.
In my opinion it is a much better voice as this Dinklage Guy, it would be so damn cool, if they had chosen Lance Reddick for the voice of the Ghost.
But I think Dinklage is a bit more popular these days.

Skirmish: Sounds like a form of Capture the Flag. Skirmish was also the name for the Objective playlist in Halo 3. Could be a Stockpile kind of variant where flags are placed around the map, delivered to a capture zone, and defended or stolen until they are scored at specific intervals.
Team: Instead of the swords crossing, they seem to be lined up, as if to signify that they're on the same side. Basically the Slayer/Team Deatchmatch game mode. Pure carnage.

If that's the case, it'd lean towards another FFA gametype as well. Either way, players will be scrambling about the maps.
I'm betting that Lockdown is a take on KOTH/Hardpoint and hopefully Skirmish is indeed CTF. My interest is piqued as to what Salvage ends up being. Damn this waiting.
Class Dinklage is gaining steam
What about the last one, the one with a ghost as icon?
Does this game have a bunch of lore around 7 like Halo? I never quite understood the obsession. Or maybe it was a company thing, but still..7?

So the way the PSN works is that UK is the head of our region, and Aus and NZ fall under that umbrella. That's why buying games from the UK/EU still let you download their foreign DLC codes in our NZ/Aus PSN stores. Also the reason why we need to pick Europe for our DLC codes, if you want to download through your normal NZ PSN account.Oh, I'm with you there bro : PS4 version all the way... I'm just referring to the actual gaming server location vs billing location - aka - do we have to choose Europe as it's where Oceanic accounts are hosted (we get a secure EU website when doing billing etc on PSN), or is it because we will playing the Beta on a EU server, which is a whole different kettle of fish indeed.
Xbox being a global choice on the Beta menu makes me think it's due to the Azure network, which is locally hosted in Straya, which could mean less lag... and is the only reason I would consider it beneficial
I'm sure with that comical quip thrown in the mix "....we know Australia isn't a part of Europe, just choose Europe Anway. Love Bungie", it's just a billing thing (well, sure is a strong word.. hope is more the word I'm looking for)![]()
