Does the damage stat take fire rate into consideration? I have an auto rifle and a scout rifle that are both at 33 but the scout rifle does way more damage even at point blank (so the range stat isn't a factor). Same thing with my rocket launcher. 50 something damage but it obviously does several times more damage on a single target than anything else I have.

They said it's not Halo, that it wasn't going to be anything like Halo, so for you to have the hope that it would play like older Halo games completely went against them telling you it wasn't going to be like Halo and set yourself up for disappointment.

Despite some balancing issues I've been enjoying PvP as much as I enjoyed Halo 2's multi, which is a lot.
I'm just saying what a lot of people wanted. I wanted something new and they gave us a bad CoD clone with a fantasy scifi spin. I really hope there is a lot of PVE content in the full game because I can't stand this multiplayer.

I feel like the PvP lacks an identity. It has a pseudo-realistic arena style to it, but then you have shit like ADS that throws off the pacing.

Maps aren't very memorable either, and the announcer gives me a headache with all those point captures.

So, why is everyone complaining about the PVP? What are those balance issues?

Problem i'm having is contextual to capture points where it's all either:

1. Rate of Fire
or
2. Close quarters

The maps kind of make weapons like the Scout Rifle (my primary) pretty useless. 1/1 it's basically impossible for me to kill someone who has an AR, Shotgun, or Handcannon unless I get extremely lucky.

Feels like you're going to need specific weapons for specific maps.

After trying all classes, I'm definitely going Titan in the full game. They have my favourite jump, grenade (flash) and power. I wish they had capes though.

Well, this is my first ever Bungie game and I have to say the PVP is simply marvellous. I love everything! Weapons, vehicles, map design and layout. Oh man, this feels like xmas came early

Okay, it cannot just be me.

The Crucible is practically unplayable. I get disconnected midway through 99% of my matches, and when I am playing, my bullets have no impact, making more or less a worthless teammate. I had the exact same problem in the Alpha... except the game wasn't constantly booting me.
I have a NAT Type 2, which I thought might've been a problem, but I have no other issues playing online in any other game. This has to be a server-side issue, right?

Okay, I get it.

So far my rifle plus shotgun have served me on most situations. Depending on what the situation requires.

I haven't felt that imbalance yet, but it might have to do with the weapons I'm using. I feel there's at least one control point for each situation with open spaces and closed quarters in each map.

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.

Yep. Pretty much. My Scout Rifle is far and away my best weapon, and I'm just not getting good drops of anything else, not even a good shotgun.

Instead I get a lvl 20 purple handcannon I can't use. Swell.

PvP seems like its going to be a balance disaster, like almost absolutely broken in Iron Banner when level caps come off.

Used a scout rifle fine (15 killstreak, 39 kills) on Venus which is fairly tight. Didn't have a problem whatsoever.

on the vehicle issue I really think they should add Hijacking just like in Halo, the drivers should be vulnerable when they get too close to a person on foot. right now it's either run away or get lucky with body/head shots.

This game has zero sex in it. I wouldn't even call any of the faces "pretty" or "handsome."

I disagree. My Titan is quite pretty.

I have the same problem today. I cannot play shit because i get disconnected constantly.

My main weapon combo (coming out of P/E) is Scout Rifle/Sniper Rifle and it just doesn't work on most of these maps, though I have a better time on Moon because people have more issues with distance.

Completely agree. I got almost a 6 KDR using the tank. I was pretty much unstoppable. Hijacking should be in.

I dunno. People like to throw out that phrase for this just because it's not exactly like Halo, or that's what it feels like. It has similarities to both games, but it's all in all it's own game

I'd say it's more like Call of Duty because it has ADS, small and relatively cramped maps, loadouts, supers that act similarly to killstreaks, and the fact that at any point in the game, you have no idea what your enemies or teammates are packing.

I got first place in Iron Banner on my team and got 6000+ points and won the game.

The only one on my team who got an item drop was the guy who was last place with a 0.38 K/D and barely got any caps. M8 pls
