Why would you get 3 beta codes?
GlamFM, same for me and I would assume so yeah..
I though that 1 Bungie code [9 digit] unlocks 3 console codes [12 digits each]. I just want to know if PSN bungie beta code will be same as those from amazon/retail.
Since I didn't get into the alpha, I'll probably do this as well. I usually hold off on multiplayer in games until I've gone through at least a little of the campaign, anyway.

If I preorder Destiny via US PSN, will I get 3 beta codes?! Or is that some Amazon/USA retail preorder thingy?
PlayStation Store digital pre-orders and participants in Japan do not require a beta code or registration process.
If you pre-ordered digitally from the PlayStation Store, you do not require a Destiny Beta code.
Really? Where do you see that?last (probably dumb) question,
I already have the BETA in my download queue on my PS4 - Does this mean that I have nothing else to do?
Download will start automatically when the time comes?
A bungie code is good for cchosing 1 platform to play on.
Digital preorders from the ps store will get one download (or rather one entry to the beta)

That's fine, it could have entirely been just me that felt that there was a difference. I just felt that there was freer movement on the Moon map versus Rusted Lands.Um, I don't believe this is correct. Bungie employees have stated in multiple instances that movement is identical in all locations thanks to the Traveler's space magic (and for consistency of gameplay). Having played the Alpha, I did not notice any variation between locales.
Will Destiny be region locked like WoW? Meaning as a EU player, if i choose PS4 EU i can only play with EU players?
Sorry if the question is dumb, i just woke up.
We just don't know yet. It may put you in a region by default or with players that you have good connections with, but there's no limitation to teaming up with Americans as a European, for example. Will Destiny be region locked like WoW? TWILIGHT GAP: Earth
![]()
From Destinypedia:
"The Twilight Gap is a location in the City Perimeter on Earth as well as a Crucible map.
Little more is known about the nature or characteristics of the Twilight Gap at this time, except that it contains "war-torn fortresses." In news coverage of the Reveal Press Conference, multiple sources stated that it was described as something visible from the Overwatch District. The Twilight Gap was also described as "apparently [representing] a big chunk of mankinds history in the game."
According to Bungie, humanity first encountered the Cabal at the fortresses of the Twilight Gap."
*EXODUS BLUE: - Phobos; Mars (supposedly the Playstation timed-exclusive map)
![]()
"The Exodus Blue is a long-dead space vessel. Before the Collapse, it brought hope and humanity to worlds beyond Earth"
EDIT: May as well dump the gametype post up here too:

Control: Capture and defend 3 zones to win.
*Rumble: Free For All (seen above), represented by the 3 classes crossing blades. Lone Wolves, this is for you.
Lockdown Most likely a King of the Hill variant with either a static or dynamic hill. Could also be a 1-sided offense-defense gametype.
Skirmish: A variant of Capture the Flag. Could be a Stockpile variant where flags are placed around the map, delivered to a capture zone, and defended or stolen until they are scored at specific intervals. (Skirmish was the name for an Objective playlist in Halo 3)
Team: This is the Slayer/Team Deatchmatch gametype for pure carnage.
Salvage: From the achievement's list, Salvage appears to be a gametype where points are also captured. This could mean several things: Salvage is a gametype where an object is held for a duration of time to earn points; a gametype where loot of sorts is collected from a player and then scored at a drop zone (Headhunter), a gametype where a Ghost is collected from a fallen player to score a point (Kill Confirmed); a gametype where players fight to pick up loot and deliver it to a drop point (like a Bounty); or an entirely new gametype.

It's not available on the eu store yet.

Is level 7 the cap for Beta? These multiplayer videos on IGN are all that level and don't seem to gain any EXP.
Nobody knows for sure. It could just be Bungie's obsession with the number 7.

Oh god
I made the mistake of reading YouTube comments on one of the PVP videos.
Weird. Is that because you already received a 12-digit PSN code and redeemed it? Or is this just from the digital pre-purchase on PSN?Notifications/Downloads
It has been like this for the entire history of gaming journalism, but it never gets any less painful. It does kind of blow my mind that IGN is getting all of this exclusive Destiny info and they choose a guy who can't play a first person shooter worth a shit to show it. It's not good exposure for the game (or not nearly as good as it could be if the guy was decent).
Only Conquest (again). I'm waiting for Bungie to release what will be in the Beta to update the OP, but we know that much.do we know what multiplayer modes will be available during the beta?
Eh. The Beta will speak for itself better than any IGN Destiny coverage, which people will probably forget about once the Beta comes out.It does kind of blow my mind that IGN is getting all of this exclusive Destiny info and they choose a guy who can't play a first person shooter worth a shit to show it. This is also another possibility.Or prehaps likely that they may increase the cap mid-way through the beta during the day day maintence so you can only get to 7 in the first 4 days and maybe up to 10 in the last 3.

ahh...i was kinda hoping for a taste of the competitive MP...
Yes.You mean "Control", right?
Is PVP any good? I gave it a miss during the Alpha, so should I give it a go? If so what kind of rewards do you get for doing i.e. special/exclusive loot or is it just bragging rights.
It's funny I played the Alpha build and enjoyed it but I can't deny that footage of Control in the Crucible looks boring as hell!
You earn Crucible reputation and marks that you can accumulate and purchase Legendary tier PVP gear/weapons.
You also gain EXP for your character like you would in PVE as well as loot rewards at the end of each round.[/QUOT
I'll give it a go then, just to try and get some better loot, in the Alpha I ended up with uncommon everything.
