Since I didn't get into the alpha, I'll probably do this as well. I usually hold off on multiplayer in games until I've gone through at least a little of the campaign, anyway.

Yeah if you want to apply to DestinyGAF, a kind mod (without even being asked to) today changed the old PS4 GAF group invite page to DestinyGAF invite requests. Please post there if you want quick and efficient access to DestinyGAF so admins can accept you easily and this thread is clean for discussion.

Story mode for leveling up. Maybe go to the max and buy some awesome weapons. Then going for Crucible - prepared as hell! I got spare time so I'll go for my level cap in no time. After that's it depends on my fire team. Some like exploring some like crucible.

Agreed. I think a lot of people made the mistake of jumping straight into PVP during the alpha without leveling up or collecting a wider variety of weapons and armor.
You may learn the maps quicker but are soon overpowered by guys with sweet upgraded shotguns etc...

Bit of a downer that EU players cannot redeem until the 17th. Won't be pretty with everyone logging onto Bungie.net that day.

Ha fantastic. I really want this dance mode for my awoken warlock.
Are the dance animations locked to race or to class? I only tried awoken and very, very briefly exo during alpha.
I'd love it if Bungie included it as an option when customizing your character.

Quick question, hopefully someone can help me. I live in germany but I use an US Account as my main Account. Do I select the american or european beta?
American, the EU code can't be redeemed on a US PSN account.

Um, I don't believe this is correct. Bungie employees have stated in multiple instances that movement is identical in all locations thanks to the Traveler's space magic (and for consistency of gameplay). Having played the Alpha, I did not notice any variation between locales.

We already know it has two new maps in the crucible. Would not be suprised to see something new beyond Old Russia as well.

When you attempt to claim an EU code, it tells you the selection isn't yet available and to come back on the 17th. Whether that's a bug or not, though, let's find out - US west coast is still asleep.

So, unless they have forgotten to flip a switch somewhere, or they are just filtering people to calm the stress on their servers?
If I have two beta keys I can enter them twice and get PS4 as well as Xbox One beta access, right? I already nominated for Xbox One this morning, but now that I've entered my second code and there's nothing saying Xbox has already been selected I'm unsure this new one will overwrite.
you can use multiple codes to access multiple platforms.

No, DestinyGAF is a group for all players of all platforms which will support smaller clans within it's group for each platform when the new clan system is implemented. In short join DestinyGAF if you want to join the GAF group if you want to join one of it's clans.

On a single Bungie.net account, you can enter up to four of the 9-character codes, each of which will net you three marketplace codes for the platform you select. I will eventually receive twelve download codes in all, three for PlayStation 4, three for PlayStation 3, three for Xbox One, and three for Xbox 360 (yes, I own all those platforms and will play at least some in each beta).
I am not sure if you can elect to generate marketplace codes more than once on the same console, although I didn't notice anything in Bungie.net's UI (in my limited time with it) that would prevent that. I do know that it was stated that the rationale for only allowing you to enter four codes on Bungie.net was because there are four different platforms.
They've confirmed it will be the 17th, but before the beta goes live.

I can't imagine them sending every code simultaneously and then you still need to download the beta. The start of the beta might get delayed for some Europeans.
It was the same with the Alpha, codes were sent out the day it started.
