As much as I love playing with gaffers, right now, I dont think CE Hard is a lot of fun.
If I could get the guns from Crota, I'd not do it again till I'm 33/34 as well.

As for that glitch, pretty sure it was unintentional so there's nothing to "fix" there.

We can get him to the last sword and then boomers just kill the sword bearer. Seems to be very luck based hmmm

knight boomers in general have a very erratic pattern, all about luck whether they get you mid-air or try to pre-emptively hit you while you actually stay still or something

bubbles in the tower or snipers taking them out is a good insurance policy to have

Was doing hardmode crota with my hunter alt today and in the middle of the fight one guy suddenly goes afk without telling us. We we annoyed that he didn't say anything but after he started snoring we thought it was quite amusing.

That is too funny. How does that even happen.

Killing Crota before Ogres requires 100% flawless execution from everybody and a bit of luck; not a reliable strategy IMO.

Our group was trying to do that, then we switched to taking it more relaxed against Crota and killing the Ogres by positioning inside the bottom right tower and BAM! 3 Consecutive Crota kills.

Has anyone compiled a list of bugs for the Crota fight? My fireteam's last fight must've run into every bug for that fight.

1) Crota quick rise and strike instead of the normal recovery animation after being downed.
2) Crota falling off the bridge while chasing the swordbearer, then teleporting while shifting.
3) Thrall spawning out of thin air in the summoning room instead of spawning from the doors.
4) Sword falling though the floor after killing the swordbearer.
5) Ogres spawning later than usual after two sword cycles.
6) Swordbearer hiding in the starting room for the Ir Yut fight.
7) Thrall and sword knights can melee you through the window in the summoning room.

I can't think of any more from that frustrating failure of a run.

The worst fucking bug right now might just be the one that's been around the longest. The Heavy Ammo bullshit. You get heavy ammo from fucking boots, you have to wear fucking boots to be 32, you lose your fucking ammo every wipe. I went through 20 synth last night in the 2 hours we went after him. We actually had to take a 20 minute break so one of the guys in our team could go farm exclusion zone to buy more synths for the last half hour of tries. Fix this shit bungie, it's 100% Grade bullshit.

I have seen knights just walk through the shield in crystal room so many times that if we see a knight standing close to it, we pretty much expect him to walk in and start swinging.

That's how we did it too which was interesting because we basically figured out the same thing ourselves, the biggest thing is making sure everyone gets in and out of the room without dying, it's fairly easy to avoid the thrall though but if someone dies it's pretty much a wipe since you can barely see the oversoul to shoot at it from there.

I sort of disagree. I would love for Hawkian to keep making the OTs and to make the next one. He does a great job. But if it is something that he doesn't want to do or is unable to do right now then it should be his decision to make and we should respect it whatever it is.... He has done an amazing over the top job Fantastic for this community in all the long months since Destiny launched.

100% awesome strat for this, we used this for our 3 crota downs yesterday. Still processing videos on youtube, should have them by OT16

Last time Grave made the thread the title had to be changed... IMO if Hawkian doesn't do it then Todd should be next. Todd already offered. Since Todd is doing the podcast I think that gives him the cred to make the OT.
