You can debate the list. I don't try to act like I'm the sole proprietor of these things. Hell, all I really care for are the first three things, personally.

Also, to your first point, these are suggestions for improvement. Nothing more, nothing less. Suggestions arise from complaints, and the same complaints have been levied over and over again by multiple people. Better to have it all organized without (too many) redundancies.

This. I like the game, but there's a ton of stuff that could be improved, and of that, a lot that should have been in at launch. That's all the list is.

Another for the list:

-Penalize players for leaving the instance by respawning/healing the enemies inside.

Waaaay too easy to chip away at tough fights against non-shielded enemies right now.

....I think I beat the story?

yeah.

not much of story - there is tons they can do vastly better in like side missions on planets with meaning...yadda yadda I don't want to be stuck in PVP but i guess we'll see what they add for PVE that'll be worthwhile

it feels almost like titanfalls story you're basically just going from map to map feeling no connection

I want to start off by saying whoever thought the final fight for the Summoning Pits was a good idea is an idiot. My god that took for ever. Buuuuuuttt I got 4 blues out of it!

lolwut? No it doesn't. Diablo was never about the story. It's blast your way to the end of the quest, get the gear and move on.

Was for me actually...I liked the whole prime evil thing, but then Diablo 3 made things just feel forced for some reason...or just too simplistic.

Well fuck. I can't do the Venus Strikes with randoms. Someone always fucks up.
Help please.

had a dude in our group last night on the moon strike who would NOT res himself after 30 seconds of being dead! He would go and die right in the middle of the whole thing and then wait forever like COME RES ME GUYS!! UGHHH!

The comparisons to Diablo kind of end with the loot, though. A huge part of the appeal to Diablo for me is the crazy, colourful and effective rune upgrades to skills - there's always something exploding or sparking or engulfing enemies in a burst of colour and it just feels so satisfying. Destiny is so drab, just from an art point of view.

I'm sure they'll expand out this kind of stuff as it goes. Well, I hope so. The potential is there.

And I agree, I was just pointing out that Diablo has a quite convincing story and it isn't hidden behind apps or hard-to-reach areas.

I have two problems with Destiny. One is the loot, and that has been discussed to death, however my second problem is discovery. I don't ever feel the need to wander, because I did it the first few times and found nothing. Empty caves, barren wastelands and just plain nothing doesn't really encourage me to go out and explore the world. I've now accustomed myself to beelining to the objective and that's it. This is not how you make an enjoyable, explorable game and it really takes the fun out of it.

More points more kills in cricible and I get nothing

Update 4 (Possibly the last update, if anyone doesn't have anything else to add):

What features/fixes should Bungie bring to Destiny before the first expansion?

- In-game Clan Management
- Guild Halls
- Improved encounter design
- Custom games
- Fileshare
- Improved enemy AI
- Better story design/flow
- Improved variety of Patrol missions (possibly more context, too)
- Ability to skip cutscenes
- Stats on certain Bonds ((?) legendary armor?) instead of being solely cosmetic
- More loot drops for earlier levels
- Decreased loading times
- Public (proximity) voice chat
- Remove Orbs of Light from PVP
- PVP Mode with supers disabled
- Roaming enemies
- More randomized enemy spawns, both static and roaming
- Ability to turn on flash light
- Clan-specific awards
- Clan challenges
- Change Strike boss encounter design (more challenging, less bullet sponge)
- Change PVP reward drop randomization (possibly axe random entirely)
- Join Public Missions matchmaking
- Increase frequency of public events
- Sparrow races
- Possibility of 4-man fireteams (?)
- Clan + Friends settings
- Swappable loadouts
- Option to go straight to starmap instead of orbital layer
- Penalty for leaving the instance (PvE & PvP), possibly reloading health and respawning enemies

Anything else?

I think Destiny has been great so far. But this whole bunch of people getting bummed out was to be expected. The game was hyped to unrealistic proportions.

They hyped it to unrealistic proportions. Look at the vidocs and all the talks about scale. All the ambition that oozes from those videos. Take the delays into account, and of course I was expecting an amazing new IP from Bungie. They have the talent, they made Halo after all. So of course I'm disappointed that it's just a semi-open world FPS with RPG elements.

Like I said though, it's still a good game. Just not what I expected from a high-caliber studio like Bungie.

Cutscenes are driving me nuts

Cant i fucking skip it

I also thought there were more to old russia as the videos implied

exactly, why would someone try and debate a list with you when most of it isn't yours? And sure nothing more than suggestions you noticed by drumming it up with 'come on gaf we need more'.

Has anyone found themselves with a worthwhile uncommon Auto rifle? Shingen, Cydonia, or the like? It was so easy in the beta it seemed. Although I haven't run Devil's Layer yet (tonight). What's a par AR at this point in the game? I'm lvl8, running a Pulse rifle.

First rare piece get()! Found in explore on Earth, lv 12. Random enemy dropped while doing patrols. Actually having fun doing the patrols while finishing bounties.

And then BOOM get a rare piece from the Cryptarch! Woot rare boots! Yes!

Looks good....Campaign was ok but the story felt lackluster.

I'm running a "Shingen-E" at the minute. I should look to change it out since it's level 12 and I'm 19 atm but It's the bomb and I've almost fully upgraded it :3

The only time I'll leave a teammate to revive themselves is when they are surrounded by Wizards, Knights, and everything that walks and kills.

Fuck that last room in Moon Strike.

I see a lot of people saying the story is bare, isn't tgis supposed to last a while? Maybe they will build upon it with expansions or dlc. I heard the grimories add a lot to it, idk if people are not liking that. I also see them posting that star wars and hp quote, maybe there planning to add more to it outside of the game, as well? Idk I like this game so far, I liked what I played. I get the negatives as well, hopefully they say or do something about so more people can enjoy it.

For those like me that got the limited/ghost edition: Should I scrap the standard ship you get since you already get the cool bonus one?

got a new disc today and it loaded in like 15-20mins mins compared to the 2 and a half hours my brother attempted yesterday with the defected copy. >.>

It bums me out that people aren't liking or having fun with Destiny. I'm personally loving it even after recognizing it's shortcomings. It's like I have to bury my head in the sand to drown out Destiny negativity to enjoy the game.

I barely come into the OT anymore since I know there'll be something being debated on how mediocre Destiny is. Is there a safe haven for Destiny players looking to go the ignorance is bliss route?

Maybe just discuss on Bungie.net or /r/Destiny?

OTs aren't supposed to be post-launch echochambers, sorry. A lot of people who have some big complaints, myself included, are still having fun (helps I'm not the one who owns it yet). But this is a discussion forum, and that means we're going to go beyond GamesFAQ content.

I don't even think the negativity is that strong. For every complaint, there's 10 people piling on that those people drank too much of the hype kool-aid or going the 'I'm having fun so your opinion has no place here' route.

I don't know what to tell you. If there was a Destiny-complaining thread, not only would that attract some of the worst type of people on NeoGAF and just be another echo chamber, but it would then turn into an 'Us vs Them' like back with the Destiny Beta or when Mass Effect 3 released.

So the way the game is set up, Bungie can add new story stuff and missions whenever and to whatever locations they want? Without patches or expansions I mean.

So you need to pay more for more game?

Sounds good

Traveller save me... I've hit 16 on my Warlock and I got the urge to reroll a Hunter. Damn I'm glad this is gonna be a long weekend for me (4 days of binging on Destiny!)

Loving the game so far. It's exactly what I wanted.

Yeah, totally agree - even just finding a cellar or side dungeon or whatever in Diablo has a real sense of 'what will I get from this?' it's always dropping things for you and there's always that sense of progression and visual feedback that makes it so enjoyable.

I'm actually kind of surprised that the opening area chosen for the game is a drab, rusted out featureless wasteland surrounded by invisible walls, and interspersed with dark corridors and rooms with nothing in them. It's all technical prowess with no heart or warmth or life.

Again, just focusing on the progression and items and hoping that keeps me satisfied. In that sense, I'm easily amused. I did ask before but noone responded - can you get actual elemental weapons? I know they were mentioned at some point but haven't seen much mention of them.

Some of these are great. More matchmaking options and more loot especially. Some of the are just asking for weird things (Better AI? Decreased Loading Times?). Swappable loadouts should absolutely be a thing too

I really wish there was proximity instance transfer with other randoms.

It would really add a much better feel of persistence to the world if people running beside you went with you to the next area instead if just disappearing.
