- Improved enemy AI
- Better story design/flow
- Improved variety of Patrol missions (possibly more context, too)
- Ability to skip cutscenes
- Stats on certain Bonds ((?) legendary armor?) instead of being solely cosmetic
- More loot drops for earlier levels
- Decreased loading times
- Public (proximity) voice chat
- Remove Orbs of Light from PVP
- PVP Mode with supers disabled
- Roaming enemies
- More randomized enemy spawns, both static and roaming
- Ability to turn on flash light
- Clan-specific awards
- Clan challenges
- Change Strike boss encounter design (more challenging, less bullet sponge)
- Change PVP reward drop randomization (possibly axe random entirely)
- Join Public Missions matchmaking
- Increase frequency of public events
- Sparrow races
- Possibility of 4-man fireteams (?)
- Clan + Friends settings
- Swappable loadouts
- Option to go straight to starmap instead of orbital layer

Anything else?
these seem patchable
right?

Might have just discovered an awesome glitch...

Rerolling a new character, a hunter. As Ghost dinklage comes up, during the cutscene I opened up my inventory and randomly selected bladedancer cause it didn't say "requires level 15"...and it actually swapped it with gunslinger. I haven't completed the first mission yet so I imagine it will eventually fix itself..but if not? awesome.

Thanks for everyone who answered me on how long the story is.

Also I have a lot of friends who are just confused about Destiny. They feel lost and it doesn't make sense to them. I think Bungie could of done better adding more lore in the game rather than making people use their website. Of course I'm having a great time playing and they enjoy the game as well but the lack of direction can be confusing for those of us who weren't in the Alpha, Beta, or Destiny GAF threads.

I don't think it is even explained on how PVP opens up and some people may just want to hop in. Little explanations could of helped. .I really wish they listened to the beta players about the communication thing also. Oh well. Going to enjoy this game. Bought the strategy guide hoping to read up on some lore about areas.

By design...

The second subclass for all characters unlocks after you get one character to that level.

Nobody knows how often you get Strange Coins from completing public events, then? I heard it may only be once per day but don't know if that's true.

if you unlock the subclass once it unlocks for good. so you can start a new character with a different subclass.

edit: beaten

Almost at level 6 now. Finally got some loot from combat.

Who thought it was a good idea to constantly start you in areas you have already been through and make you travel through them every mission? It just makes the repitition worse. It also makes you feel like everything you do in terms of fighting the enemies is in complete vain. At least a game like Far Cry 2 leveraged its environment within its repetitive combat.

How does this game "start" at LV20?

Am I missing somthing? It feels like all there is to do is to either play PvP, or do the exact same missions again where enemies die the same amount, but I die faster, for better equipment to fight the same enemies etc.

=( 6 hours it took. I thought getting to LV20 would be like playing Hard mode in PSO or something.

this game disappointed me too breh

Just finished the story and now working on getting better gear, but have no idea how to replay the strikes at a higher difficulty. I thought I remembered seeing the option the first time through, but now it seems like that is no longer available. Granted, I am sleep deprived and my nerves are shot, but am I really this dense? What am I missing here?

I honestly don't understand posts like this.

The game is FPS Diablo with PVP.

This was all very well known. Yes, it's a grind for loot game. The "point" is because it's fun. You grind PVE for loot and then use that loot to shoot people in the face on PVP.

Bottom left part of the load screen, it will say Normal, just switch it over to hard.

So I was just doing some missions on Patrol on Venus when a public event got triggered, so I pressed the touch pad to see where it was on the map, but all the markers just point to other mission beacons (the green flashing ones). How am I supposed to know where the public event takes place?

I stumbled upon one and had no idea what the hell was happening.

Just did the moon strike with 2 randoms. First time doing the moon strike. EPIC!

Damn battle was insane. 0 deaths though!

Got rare arms and ... And ... A RARE HANDCANNON MUWAHAHA

Raids have no clear objectives and you have to put together your own party.

"Unlike Story missions and Strikes, Raids do not give players objectives or waypoints and instead force Guardians to figure everything out themselves.[2] Because of the necessity of communication and coordination, Raids do not support matchmaking.[3]"

Worst thing I've ever heard. "Have friends or go fuck yourself"

:(

bunji pls add voice

Yeah, it wouldn't be nearly as bad if the game actually gave you a way to make friends with others that are playing the game. Stupidest fucking decision they've made. Proximity public voice needs to be implemented ASAP.

Just beat the Moon Strike mission. OMG that was a tough one until we figured out the correct strat. Even then it was no picnic.

I could totally bold the ones that are completely patchable. Most of them are.

Update 5 (What is, and isn't, completely patchable):

What features/fixes should Bungie bring to Destiny before the first expansion?

What Can Be Patched In (hopefully)
- Improved encounter design
- Custom games
- Improved enemy AI (debatable; might be axed from the list)
- Improved variety of Patrol missions (possibly more context, too)
- Ability to skip cutscenes
- More loot drops for earlier levels
- Decreased loading times
- Public (proximity) voice chat
- Remove Orbs of Light from PVP
- PVP Mode with supers disabled
- Roaming enemies
- More randomized enemy spawns, both static and roaming
- Ability to turn on flash light
- Change Strike boss encounter design (more challenging, less bullet sponge)
- Change PVP reward drop randomization (possibly axe random entirely)
- Increase frequency of public events
- Sparrow races
- Option to go straight to starmap instead of orbital layer
- Penalty for leaving the instance (PvE & PvP), possibly reloading health and respawning enemies

What Should Arrive With Expansion Pack 1 (hopefully)
- In-game Clan Management
- Guild Halls
- Fileshare
- Better story design/flow
- Clan-specific awards
- Clan challenges
- Clan + Friends settings
- Possibility of 4-man fireteams (?)
- Swappable loadouts
- Join Public Missions matchmaking
- Stats on certain Bonds ((?) legendary armor?) instead of being solely cosmetic

Again, people are free to debate on what's in the list. If the majority doesn't see a suggestion as necessary, it will be removed.
