From what people saw in the stream you will be able to buy 1 mote of light for 2 ass shards. Thus you can have 350 motes.

The missing one is probably 1 mote for 2 radiant energies.
I have 249 coins and 151 motes, so I should be good for HoW and my first rerolls.
I don't buy any exotic engrams anymore, I've always thought it was a "bad" way to spend your motes, now I find it's even more true than it was.

That would be too easy and convenient as far as Bungie is concerned. We're already lucky they allow the one on the first Eris mission to count, otherwise we'd have to spend time patrolling until 3 spawned.

I also use that mission to do the "melle kill 7 Hive in quick succession" and "kill 10 Hive quickly under Radiance".

Though I agree with you, it would be cool if we could just do it in that single mission.

Now, we can't even complete the blades bounty in patrol! They removed the blades spawning in patrol mode, so the only possible way to complete the bounty now is to run the first Eris mission 3 times.

I was under the impression that with OLD weapons and gear that aren't upgraded, they'll still need whatever the upgrade bubbles need + Ascension bubble.

You are sitting pretty with all those motes, I fear I will loose my ass on the weapon re rolling haha, I've only got 100 coins as I blew through all my motes last iron banner and still didn't get a jesus roll on anything.

The only thing I have loads of is ass shards think its about 700 or so, can you straight trade ass shards for motes?

Yes, 2 ascendant/radiant shards or energy for one mote. I am very much looking forward to that.

Yea that sounds about right. And I use to waste my motes on engram before the Dark Below Dropped. I haven't been able to get the IB weapons I want to reroll over and over (waiting until the Hammer is up again and maybe the sniper).

But it looks like people will no longer have a problem with having motes.

I had 3 Hunters until the week before The Dark Below dropped. I used them as a crutch thinking (I can hit max level and just switch armor around and weapons). It only takes like 2 weeks to hit max level with a new character. And it's so much more fun to diversify your experience.

I don't know if the Culling is a good weapon to keep.

True to an extent, but there aren't many good ways to spend them and you can always get more. Plus with the new armor pieces now in play, it's a better time than ever to gamble on a few.
