The point of the video and the Reddit post seems to be that the Warlock was able to greatly increase his Super meter only by destroying the Swarm grenades -- not actually killing anyone. Each grenade that he destroyed refilled 7% of his Super meter.

So whereas the Swarm grenades are activating the Ashes to Asset perk on hit, this is a way for those on the other team to counter it if they see the Swarm grenades first. And yeah another enemy Hunter with that perk could do the same thing and receive the Super refill benefits themselves.

will a tripmine kill the swarm grenades? Gunslingers might have to use incendiary grenades to do that, haha.

Well, last ToO match was hilarious. GG killed Todd and LiK, I killed him, his warlock teammate (twice), and their third teammate. Two round later, Warlock wastes his revive by literally spawning just as the screen went to scorecard.

PS. The Kneepads can be changed for anything else to have more chance in the reroll.
