Whats the quickest place or event to farm weapon parts?

I know trials weapon but finding a team that will stick through it is rough.I really really want a flawless emblem only so i can actually get invites from .070 flawless teams.

Top of page edit: Oh my nows my chance....the best advice ive gotten to pass along is remember to shoot anyone shooting at you!

Farm glimmer, then buy green weapons from the vanguard vendor. You can also run strikes, pop a glimmer buff and use that glimmer + engram drops to get parts.

Fun IB tonight guys, thanks.

Skolas School ultimately got 10 people through this week. There were three no wipe runs, two with two new guys and one with assistance from HidingMyThunder. Our quickest was with Inco and DeviantBoy at 59 minutes who had some PoE experience and then after that was Voa127 and DNAbro who took down Skolas in only a few more minutes without having run PoE 35 before.

Here's a pretty good video of a Skolas run from the first mine round on. It's a shame I didn't record voice because despite the deaths it was orchestrated extremely well. I learned a lot from it as the week went on and the last 3 runs I did in the school we did without wiping. It became a pretty mechanical fight with a good leader calling out positions and roles once I figued out all the roles in different situations. Turns out hunters were the weakest class to bring in.

Maybe you get that feeling because of a skewed number of played games?

I usually save my hunter for last because reasons. Warlocks do seem like the best overall class for trials because self res is super useful, along with best grenades, best melee and the Ram being a good help against final round jackasses.

A few bad apples. Usually when a dev for a big title peeks around GAF they get shit on hard. Sadly, DestinyGAF is not an exception. Some people have been extraordinarily immature, rude, disrespectful and outright insulting to Bungie staff, with Deej specifically getting loads of hate from some guys.

It's a shame because most people around here are pretty cool, but it's a rather toxic environment for devs to participate in.

One example off the top of my head: When Evilore wasn't invited to E3 as part of the press MS came on GAF to invite him. Look at people's reactions - most were "hey that's cool of you". But too many devolved into a shitfest, fast.

Lots of industry people have accounts here. Because of their involvement in certain things they have to approach things differently from the rest of us.

Trying to get Adam his first Skolas kill and PoE 35 is giving us all sorts of technical issues (everyone booted to orbit, mines won't spawn).

Not sure there is a way to find out through destinytracker, if not, the only way would be to tweet bungie about it and hope they can give some answers :D

I think there is an issue with PSN itself today...some maintenance (again !)

It is not letting me redeem my PSN cards, via the console, PSN store or the website.

It will forever be my favourite Destiny story, with how I used to claim to randoms on LFG that I was a sword bearer (to learn how do it) a close second

It's amazing how much stuff you can blame on lag/glitches :d

Mehrmantrout had posted about it in the last OT, but it kind of got drowned a bit, and didn't get the recognition it deserves.

It could very likely be a record for the longest PoE.

Wow. I would have snapped the disc if I was at skolas for that long! I remember week 1 when my clan started at 9pm on the Saturday night. We finished at 3am on the Sunday morning. I was so burned out on destiny I couldn't play for a week. So annoying that we killed him early on but couldn't get the mines as it spawned at the opposite end of the map.

But we finally nailed him with that solar burn!

Wow that is awful.

I helped Lecsboy this week get his Skolas kill. Got invited to help him out at Skolas.

Well good luck to them with Skolas. If they are having trouble with Pilot they aren't going to beat Skolas any time soon.

Holy shit that was an epic Destiny session.

Got Adam Boyles his first Mercury trip and first Skolas kill. So much fun, that's what Destiny is all about. Thanks and GG to Stabie and everyone who hung around watching the stream!
