its a pretty small boost tbh. you need to kill 3-4 enemies to really see its effect
I'm not even getting that.

Wait, did you see the first guide?
Bounties are the main source of rep, and the only one for Crucible rep. If you've done all the daily bounties, make sure to also do the Daily Heroic and Weekly Heroic (also give good rep).
The 24 Vanguard strike playlist is then the next best, but it's primarily for marks (6 marks, 25 rep each strike).
Crucible marks are only earned by playing PvP matches. 3 win, 2 lose.
edit: Oh, you are missing patrols for Vanguard. +10 or 25 rep a piece. Easy to knock out while doing other things on whatever planet, but low rep gain compared to bounties.
The "Do 6 beacon missions" bounties are the jackpot for Vanguard/Faction rep.
I hope I'm (potential spoilers, I guess?)more benevolent than what people are saying about the traveler.![]()
I like the way you think. Doing this now. Close to having Cryptarch level anyway.
Yes. Precisely. Only to be used if you're a hair away from the next threshold and don't care about wasting the glimmer on itBuying green engrams to level up cryptarch is a waste of glimmer, unless you only need a little more xp to level up.
Awful investment.Buying engrams isn't worth it. 25,000 Glimmer will get you, what, 500 XP? Bad investment me thinks.
I wouldn't doubt it eventually. I think each of the main classes' current subclasses cover two out of the three energy types. That would leave one energy type open for a subclass. For example, Warlocks have a void subclass and a Fire subclass but no Arc subclass (yet). I imagine that, if there is a third Warlock subclass, it will be built around Arc energy. Is there going to be some third sub-sub class? I saw the open spot and got excited.
I honestly don't see them "fixing" anything. Nothing really needs to be fixed. You get gear through your factions and if you get drops that turn out to be for your class then you got lucky.
So it seems now I'm "that Guy'. The one who seems to piss everyone off to no end. The one who does really terribly
but ends up getting the best reward.
Even i was surprised. The only reward other people got was a few blues.
In my defense though I usually do better, just that match i was using an unlevelled sub class and unlevelled scout rifle.
I'm not even getting that.

At the very least it should be just as likely to get a legendary over a blue imho. Regardless it doesn't bother me now as I never get them now and all I'm missing is the head and chest which one of them I'll go exotic. No it's broken. You are more likely to get a lower level item (Uncommon or Rare) than you are a Legendary item. By almost double. That's just stupid considering how hard they are to come by.
PURPLE ENGRAM RARITY:
White: 0
Green: 2 3.64%
Blue: 33 60%
Purple: 19 34.55%
Yellow: 1 1.82%
You get a weapon for it. It's interesting, the only weapon of its class I kind of enjoy, but not especially great.Fine then, as a more benevolent Traveler, be nice and GIMME SOME DAMN LEGENDARY GEAR YOU ASSHOLE!... I'm sorry, I didn't mean that, now may I please have some Legendary gear?
One actual question for you: I have yet to finish the campaign, I think I'm on like the level 14 story or something. Should I get the story completed or can it wait while I do bounties and strikes, etc? I'm just wondering if I get anything, gear or whatever, for finishing it.
There really is nothing wrong with that distribution. It's actually more tilted toward purple/exotic than I expected (more than a 1 in three chance of a legendary or exotic is really not that bad), though of course you need to account for the "other class" problem. No it's broken. I am constantly getting mail about my chest plate. I have a head too guys.
Thanks for the games last night, sorry I couldn't chat my girlfriend was in bed (and I am in the UK so didn't finish until 4am!)
Great use of tactics and I loved some of the shouts you and your friend were making "This Quincy guy is the best no mic guy ever, he listens!"
Green engrams cost way more than heavy ammo synthesis and are a far inferior investment. They move cryptarch rank up like 2%. Not worth it!
Invest in Ammo Synthesis and you will not be led astray
I assume you're getting credit for killing hunters in crucible. If I am a Warlock..how am I getting Grim score for Hunter kills?
That's a TINY sample size. It's an interesting look at the RNG but it's hardly conclusive as to what the odds actually are.No it's broken. I'll do it but I won't be able to play until tonight.Anyone in NA East 1 want to go for the Strike trophies?
Looking to get the vanguard/crucible rep up
Just curious if I'm missing anything other than patrol, bounties, strikes, and material turn ins for vanguard.
I believe PvP is the only way for crucible marks / rep too?

what? This gives you heavy weapon ammo? you are wrinkling my brain.Ammo Synthesis are a waste. In every mission I've done except the Nightfall. You just empty out all your ammo, wait 30 seconds, then it refills.
In the nightfall, die on purpose, have someone revive you, and you have ammo again....

But that said- I'd keep doing the story because you run the risk of outleveling it completely, and it's a fun challenge done as intended.

The primary issue with those engrams is that they are colored purple.
Almost nearing level 3 crucible, don't know what I should get. Any suggestions?
If you're looking to waste money go for it, but it won't do much good in terms of leveling up your cryptarch rank. It only gives about 10xp per engram if you buy from him, vs 150xp if you find in the wild.I like the way you think. Doing this now. Close to having Cryptarch level anyway.
rocking the chatterwhite shader. we should have took a group pic after the raid.
Giving glimmer to the Cryptarch is your tithe to the church of RNGesus. Don't listen to the heathers discouraging you from this!
How many hours till Xûr appears in the Tower?
People keep saying this. What do you do to get it? We were doing the weekly earlier this week, I was the last guardian alive, ran out of primary ammo and sat there hiding for like 3 minutes. No ammo refill.Ammo Synthesis are a waste. In every mission I've done except the Nightfall. You just empty out all your ammo, wait 30 seconds, then it refills.

edit: How can this be possible? Even if you ALL die and respawn, you retain the heavy weapon ammo you had on the previous life, even if it was zero. This seems crazily broken and I can't believe I wouldn't have noticed it thus far. Are you absolutely sure?

Uh..
I just got kicked to the Destiny press A with no warning.
